Digweed, and even Moby from this weekend are the best examples of interaction not mattering. They are into the music, and you can tell, but do they get the crowd hyped, no way.
If the DJ is boring to watch, why not making a connection with the people in the crowd, your friends, a random stranger? You are there to share in a collective experience, soak it up.
I am not saying, I like boring DJs, I am just saying, since you made the effort to go out, why not try and enjoy the other aspects of the event. |

there should be more "concert" in night clubs and dj shows. Music first, cause if the beats aren't to my liking, I'll leave. But I want a ing pink floyd light show, with crazy antics on stage. Entertain me!!! thats why I'm leaving my house. I could listen to the same dj's set in my bedroom....but I go out to be entertained.

Stayed in the upper balcony for the most part, best view of the stage antics.
Great performers, on decks and off. I have never seen a DJ crowd surf in Toronto before. And the icecream jacket Busy P. had on! Where can I get one of those! Tracks and remixes that will have me scouring beatport for months.
Came down a few times to try and get pics, and join the maddest crowd I've seen since Tarrence Parkers Birthday set at System like a billion years ago. Dancing gave way to just frantic pogo. Everyone was totally in to it that I saw.

like a few weeks a go at Lawler at TiL.... he played a killer set but didnt interact....
even if he interacted a lil it would have been 10X better...... |
