Last week in clinical I catheterized a patient for my first time.
It was a female, and it was hard as hell. Why? I'll tell you why...
Because her genitals were practically unrecognizable. :nervous:
I seriously could barely tell what I was looking at. I knew what I was supposed to be looking for, but everything was so mangled and out of place that I couldn't tell what was what. No joke.
Ladies, take advantage of all the time you have with your youthful vaginas while you can...cause the future is NOT pretty.

Oh man...it was soooo brutal. My mentor was pointing to the urethra (which did NOT look like a urethra...hell I didn't even see a clitoris, and there was only ONE labia minora :conf: ) saying "There, do you see it?" And I was like, "Uhhhh, I think so :conf: " So she told me just to give'r and I did....and there was no urine return.
So yeah, we had to try another one, lol. The poor woman was lying there double catheterized. Turns out after irrigating the tubes that the first one was indeed in the right place.
ing hell. I actually look forward to more practice, cause that isn't easy!!

It's funny...I never even think of this. I just assume every woman has roughly the same kind of vagina. Too much porn perhaps. |

I do whoever needs a catheter insertion or change. It's the same procedure for males and females pretty much. But no, I haven't done a guy yet.
