If i had that much money i would setup a trust fund to make sure that all children's hospitals have free subscriptions to both playboy and maxim. Screw those stupid Highlights magazines.

How much does one person need to live without hardship? Arguably under 6 figures.

I think theres a fundamental issue already when your bank account hits the 600 million mark. Put that money into investment capital, help out small businesses...youll probably get a return and help people out. Help out college funds, charities, etc...

You could get some serious ROI on a lot of charitable, beneficial investments. I don't know what hes doing with the cash, but ...I havent heard any news stories of a 4 million dollar grant to help out inner city schools or anything.

So... taxes. Only you dont call it that, you call it an income cap. :p I totally agree with you.

Taxes are useless. I think if citizens put the money directly into local benefits, it would be better money spent than government doing it.

Bill Gates donated as much as the US government did in 2005 (over a billion dollars) I think it was and I bet he had a lot less overhead costs in getting that out. It doesnt cost him 2 billion dollars to get 1 out the door which is the feeling I get from our government.

i know what you're all saying...i'm just not really a fan of oh this person is rich so they are obligated to give everything to the less fortunate.

same thing with taxes. do rich people have to pay a higher proportion of taxes just because they're successful? i don't think so that doesn't really seem fair to me.

i think everything should be proportional.
