Jamaica! I'm pretty sure it's VERY cheap to build/buy there.

Nice house on the south side of the island; lease it out for a five grand a week to tourists when you aren't there and just don't allow it to be booked when you want it. You have Kingston and Montego Bay not too far away as your 'big' cities.

I have no idea if they give any tax breaks and this is prolly more me fantasizing than anything else but w/e. :)

I was told that in certain places in Brazil they offer an escort service for those well off. I don't know if its the kidnappings or just the agent trying to make a few bucks.

It depends on where you go - like I said, the more you go to the North(east), the poorer it is.

However, I can't see a problem if you live in the country or in a richer region.

Brazil can be quite sketchy if you don't pick the right part of the town to live I hear...

Well, as far as I know, most big cities have "unsafe" neighbourhoods, so to speak: Before its recent renaissance, I certainly wouldn't want to live at/on/in (?) the Harlem, for example. At my last job, everyone knew someone who had got mugged in Madrid.

I will only go to Brazil if Dj Murphy agrees to be my butler.

-Taxes are considerably lower here, I reckon
-Unless you choose the miserable regions in the Northeast/North, it's certainly not a 3rd world country. Distrito Federal (where I live), Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, for example, have a IDH similar to that of Belgium, last I read.
-Nice Weather
-Nice EDM scene, beaches and hot gringo-loving womenz

severe poverty, esp in the big cities. kidnappings and robberies all of the time, footballers, djs etc. I honestly wouldn't risk it.

Whoever said Norway, taxes are really high, most norwegians I know import from sweden for cheapness a lot.

My suggestion

Cape Verde Islands. off the coast of africa, really up & coming, many little islands, near perfect weather all year round. Little to no rainfall. Brilliant beaches, lots of african prostitutes for your urges, and cheapish property.

Not trying to stereotype, but having lived/been to several states, and through the school system, I haven't discovered the open minded, classy and whatever you wanna add to this type people. Maybe I havent been "looking in the right places" as some may say, then again to cuddle with polar bears, that would require going to the north pole as well.

I'd love to live in MTL, but they won't want me since I can't speak FR :P

If you don't leave the city of Montreal, you don't really need French. Yes, it helps to have some functionality with the french language, but most tend to be billingual. That beach looks ing sweet.

I am keeping my Canadian citenzenship. I don't pay taxes as long as I declare myself a non resident. I lose out on all social benefits, but when you weigh the amount of money it would cost me i honestly couldn't give a . I don't feel the yearning need to donate a huge chunk of cash to the government to pay for the socialist programs here. those lazy s get a job:p I can also live in the EU because of my Wop passport, but way to expensive. Later on in life, if I can generate more revenue I would love a Villa there.
