A few weeks ago, our very own Guus Hiddink was sent to court to explain why he was 'living' in Belgium instead of Holland, but was never actually there. Because of the taxes.

Far more. I have a friend who lives there, and she makes VERY good money, and still can't do any better than a small apartment there. If she just moved here, it'd be more than enough to cover a rather large house anywhere in the US.

Don't mean to be blatantly lame, since I come from Poland, but theres some incredible deals you can comeby everyday in the major cities, even Warsaw. I really like it back home, I think we have some of the most beautiful women, culture and understanding of what life is about. THe only problem is that our politicians are idiots, and the job market is horrible, other than that, anything you would want you can do, imo Polska is one of the most versatile countries in Europe. You can live in Gdansk, if you're into yachting/sailing, that sort of thing on the Baltic. Our tolerance to foreigners I believe has gotten better. If you're a big industrial/metro city type, you can opt for Warsaw or Lodz. Theres alot of old factories now that are being turned into beautiful lofts. If you love mountains and hiking you want to be in the south. Most real estate is cheap, you can buy a decent condo just about anywhere for approx. 60,000USD. We have so many incredible cities that are just as special as the next, Wroclaw, Krakow, the list goes on. Some of the best skiing and hiking areas in the world, just checkout Zakopane
