True most of the time. It's a shame to see people who threaten to commit suicide, just to get attention. There actually was a case 2 weeks ago, in the local newspaper of a girl who constantly talked of suicide, and actually went through with it, and that may be more traumatic to the family than a "surprise" suicide would.
It's my opinion, that every threat of suicide should be taken seriously. Because there are exceptions to rules and generalizations, and you never can know who is the exception. |

I knew a guy in highschool who had mentioned suicide a few times, and eventually carried through with it.

I agreed with you. I was just stating that he's probably not serious. Nevertheless, you should take it seriously since you'll either wind up helping someone or preventing the person from being an by making that stuff up again. |
