Where have you met the nicest people?

For me I would say Madrid considering the size of the city it had some very open, friendly and social people.

For some reason the locals I befriended one night kept calling me "the king" and offering me drinks and smokes. Some type of local expression I suppose??? I don't know about everyone else but anyplace that I'm refered to as "the king" is good in my books:p

Also, the Irish and South African people I've met seem to be very nice aswell.

I haven't gone overseas yet, but out of all the places in Canada that I have been to, I would have to say that Barry's Bay and Algonquin Park had the nicest people. It's a small town kindness I guess, but there wasn't a day of my life that someone didn't try to do something for me while I was living there.

Also, I was extremely amazed by the kindness of people in Vancouver.

Worst places: Toronto and anywhere in Nunavut.

Met a sh!tload of TA's from all over the place and had a blast.

In AU i'd say Melbourne folks are generally nicer than Sydney folks (similar to your Vancouver are nicer than TO I suppose).

Toronto and Banff. Bless you Canadians.
I come from the NYC area though so my opinion is skewed in favor for any place that's not NY.

It's more like British Columbia in general to Ontario.
When I first moved to B.C. I met the friggin nicest people EVER!!
I had a dude GIVE me a handful of weed as soon as I got on the bus in Vancouver. He didn't want anything in return. I told him I was from Ontario and he would'nt shut up! I loved it! I never EVER felt sketchy about asking anyone anything. I knew that I would get a friendly, genuine response. They really make anyone feel at home out there... it really shows alot about the quality of life in B.C.

Great... now I'm sad :sadgreen:
