i was reading the tutorial on synths. i gather from it that a lead synth sound is made from multiple frequencies (/or oscillators?) together bouncing off each at the same time at different pitches.(detuned?)
(im using albino) can it create say 6 different frequencies at the same time, or do i need to load the same synth 6 times and adjust the pitch of them all and then layer them together? thanks |

what dont u understand?
there was supposed to be a 4th part to the synth guide which shows u how to put it all together and make a lead synth, but it hasnt been made. the 1st three parts were good for background, but a bit useless, or disapointing unless it shows u how to implement the theory. thats why im asking... |

unless I'm misunderstanding something, a "lead synth" is purely the sound that will be the lead of your track - usually the main melody, hook whatever you wanna call it. So there is no set way to make a lead, it is purely what you decide will be the main sound that gets the most attention.
I think what you are talking about is how to make a supersaw which is the sound used for the majority of trance melodys - think verecocha - carte blance for example.
To do this, you need to use a number of oscillators all set to a saw wave and then detune them slightly from each other. That is the basics of it but there are numerous ways and techniques to get it sounding good. |

yeah thats what im talking about. veracocha carte blanche is a true classic ferry is the man, that tune is perfect.
pulser has great leads. blue horizon - the journey PULSER MIX has the best lead ever.
so i will try pro53 that looks simple to use compared to albino |

| vanguard is perfect for beginners to make big room trance leads so give that a go. I would also recommend camelphat as an effect plugin. drop it on any sound, turn up the distortion knobs and you'll see what i mean... |

| Some synths allow you to choose from a large number of different waveforms for the oscillator to generate. how do u do this?? |

| Get Synth1, it's free and has a built in supersaw osc. No need to fake it with layering. |
