hahah smack my bitch up, that woulda been great... i was DEAD tired at like 5:15 i couldn't stand up any longer, had to leave.
yoooo what the hell was that track he played when they filled the place with C02, like REALLY filled it.... it's such a popular tune, i think stan took a little video of it. it sounded thrillseekers-ish, but could be a ferry track too. i feel like we were a buncha noobs cuz no one could ID it lol....
anyone know who's remix of Fix You that was? that was sweeeeet...
p.s. - in great seeing everybody, i haven't been out in forever, i had so much fun, i'm glad the whole crew was there! |

jasons opening set was quality i agree the last like 20 min he was spinning too hard for an opener but he was dropin bombs
cosmic gate and way out west- the fall(richard durrand mix):D
ferry came on and his first hour was flawless he didnt give u a min to rest just giving the crowd wat they wanted
after that he was good but imo not the best ferry set but i still had a good time
and during the co2 blast for like 2 min straight was nuts i never seen nutin like that before i was shivering like a mofo but it was still crazy
those lasers with the disco balls were sick
sound was good my ears arent even ringing today
good to see all the nyta's imo made the night we held down
it was really really packed last night it kinda sucked
but it was good
good seeing all the nyta girls wearing white and being sexy ;)

but now here comes a sad and bad part in the review= alot and i mean alot of drugs last night goin around in that club
i seen atleast 2 drug deals goin on before my eyes
atleas4 or 5 people doing bumps out in the open
and had atleast 2 people ask me for k
i dunno i mean pacha was shut down last week, they dont need that in their club they need to step secutiry up and get that crap out before another nyc club goes down under |

| definitely a great night and a great party. JJ was sick, loved it when he dropped Nic Chagal - What You Need (Progg Mix). What a great breakdown in that track. Ferry was very very good the first hour or two. That moment when they blasted cold air and fog for a good 30 seconds was one of the best moments in my partying career to this day - and I think the track that was played was Ferry Corsten - Sweet Sorrow (Thrillseekers Remix). After he dropped the remix of cold play's fix you, though (which was awesome), I feel like his set lost the magic it had in the beginning. He turned harder and more electronic, which is fine but definitely a step down after the first hour of euphoric straight trance. Either way, though, GREAT night. Was nice meeting SebG, DJ Eco, phuzzyfish, and many others :D |

oh, and, I forgot to mention the walk home with Rob & AY. You guys are ing flyer junkies. What was that all about? lol We walk like 3 blocks from the club and the two start picking up all these washed up party flyers from the ground. You bums. Rob collected like 20 - I mean he had a jonathan peters one, a ferry @ cielo one, an above&beyond one. Him and AY were actually fighting over the Jonathan Peters flyer.
And then Rob just leaves them on my ing desk. That's going in the trash dude.

getting there early was the biggest mistake i could have ever made.
by 12:15 i was just about ready to get the fuk out.
After seeing nothing but Edgar V open up for all the big Trance dj's in Miami [who knows how to open up PROPER] JJ was just sad.
I think him dropping trance towards the end of his set extremely mother fuking slow was just a diss to all the producers. I highly doubt the producers wanted their songs playing at 136 bpm.
Ferry was okay.. I left kinda early.
I hope JJ doesn't open up for PvD up here cuz 135 bpm[JJ] to 145[PvD] is a huge difference.
edit that song ferry played with the sample of Bohemian Rhapsody was absolutely sick though  |
Hahaha. Mel, take it easy on Jason. He's a great opener. Agreed it was a bit weird hearing Cosmic Gate at a slow BPM, the crowd still enjoyed it. Wasn't at 136pm, it was at 128 :p
And judging by the crowds reaction, it's obvious that the crowd was loving it as well. So I have to disagree to a degree.
Doesnt Edgar V play peak hour stuff when he opens? Kinda the exact opposite for a normal opening DJ imo. |
