ok, aside from the *questionable* tracklist, how hard is it for an album to have a decent, non-gay cover? how hard would it be to track down, say:

apparat

james holden

satoshi tomiie

vibrasphere

or 10000s of other dance artists with modern art or landscape album covers and ask them who did their cover work? A black cover with the words "ASOT 2007" on it would be better. Or how about a picture of armin behind the decks or something, or in the studio or something. Not this campy smirk

I noticed this too... Especially in disc 2

The tracklist looks quite good imo. A lot of great ones, a lot of tracks I haven't heard yet and a few tracks that I don't like at all.

I loved ASOT2006. The mixing and the newer tracks on ASOT2007 would have to be very good to beat that.

I guess you will be very disappointed, especially with disc two ... how did Armin come to a result that bad ?! :wtf:

Disc one is quite better imo, with a lot of meh vocal tracks, but also some nice summer tunes :)

Disc 2
02. Armin van Buuren - Rush Hour
04. Albert Vorne - Formentera What (Gareth Emery Remix)
07. Markus Schulz vs. Chakra - I Am
08. First State - Evergreen
09. Mike Foyle - Firefly
10. Nic Chagall - What You Need (NC's Hard Dub)

Only know these tunes. Could be I've heard more, but than those tracks have proven not to be memorably at all. Best tunes on it probably are "Formentera What" and "Evergreen".

Not going to give this CD a listen. I'm just too bored by the stuff Armin plays, he can't really stop playing those cheezy vocal pop like tunes. And I'm sure he's stuffed this CD at least with several off them (like "I Am" and "Wouldn't change a thing" :nervous: ).

Any opinions on "Reasons To Forgive" by Kirsty Hawkshaw Meets Tenishia?

I think it kinda sounds like "Not even winds" by Ozgur Can, with the bassline and samples and all. Who's with me?

Will go against all the negativity here, I actually enjoy it quite a lot! Will buy it once it's released!

I'm definitely not stuck in time, and like how many tracks cross the border of what's supposed to be trance. And I feel there is much more progression in cd2 than last year.. not just the same thing over & over again. And it might be a little cheesy to some, but as long as it's sophisticated cheese u won't hear me about it :toothless :toothless

I really enjoyed CD1, as some have mentioned, a lot of nice mellow, summer vocal tracks. CD2 on the other hand is a huge disappointment. But, its just a CD and does no way change my opinion of Armin! Ill just rip ASOT 300 to a CD and call it 2007...

lol internet
04. DJ Shah feat. Adrina Thorpe - Who Will Find Me?

Best track on the whole compilation (in my opinion.)

Very chillin :D

Listened to CD one and although it's infested with vocals I didn't hate it. It's actually quite good and relaxing for a long afternoon. While listening, I just ing loved this track:

02. Chris Lake feat. Emma Hewitt - Carry Me Away

It stuck in my head!!!
