edit: nevermind, i'll give it a listen. 'What You Need' and 'The Anthem' make me want to vomit, but theres some nice songs on there too of the ones I've heard. Wouldn't Change a Thing, Firefly I like.

It's hardly Trance, though. ASOT should just be its own genre, seperate from trance.

'What You Need' in dub version is listenable, but I certainly agree with you about describing ASOT as trance. But this is music...Always evolving and it's becoming harder and harder to put every track to just one selected genre and style.

Armin should definitely change the name of this release though, as he is desorientating people who are into trance for a short period of time.

Disc 2 is a pretty accurate expectation of what Armin plays in the Club, so I think the title of "In The Club" is deserving there.

In fact... I think about 90% of those tracks are in his current club rotation right now.

I really enjoyed the 2006 compilation, lets see how this one goes. I think last year's "On The Beach" looks a bit tastier, but I have yet to hear most of the songs on the CD so I'll reserve judgement foir now.

:stongue: at the cover for sure though.

Dont see how anyone can complain about the Tracklisting of this Compilation CD. If you heard these tunes out in a club, you would not be thinking so negative I tell you.

Cover is very cheesy, dont like it.

When people go to look for this in the Shops, they should be looking for 'ASOT 2007' in big bold letters on the cover. Not armins cheesy face. It reminds me over a David Bowie Album cover.

Overall a great compilation CD by Armin which represents the current ASOT top tunes. 10/10

How does that have anything to do with listening to this CD at home?

It doesn't even matter what tracks are on the CD, people would find something to complain about either way.

...and you'd be there to complain about the complainers.

Did you even look at the tracklist? There's a lot to complain about.

Is there? You say that almost as if you're obliged to purchase it! I see some questionable tracks, some tracks that were well accepted, and a bunch of tracks I've never heard before.

The TA mob will always complain, but ironically they represent such a small part of the market and in most cases the part that doesn't purchase any music.
