Pretty much half the people I know in LA are at Coachella right now.

Feel free to list other big festivals that happen in the US that have a similar variety of music.

Whatever. Nothing at Coachella will ever top hearing Carl Cox rock out for 2 hours, followed by Daft Punk completely shattering the awesomeness scale. They may as well not even try.

All the comments regarding Coachella and the line up are absurd. They obviously put the bigger names last. Two reasons, 1 marketing, 2 the heat. It would be pretty silly of the promoters to have a big name in the middle of the day when the desert reaches 100+ degrees, not to mention that the Sahara stage is inside a giant sweaty tent :p

Do you guys honestly think PVD mixed OUT of one of Richie's tracks? Hell no. No dj mixed in/out of the previous DJs tracks unless they play similar styles. I've gone to Coachella for the past 3 years and I can say that I've only seen a DJ mix out of the previous DJs tracks maybe 3 times. One was Laurent Garnier playing after Sander K and one was Colette playing after Kaskade. Other than that, DJ B stops DJ A's track and starts over.

And Wotyzoid, the Sahara tent has always ALWAYS been dance music. The Rapture and Happy Mondays have no place there. And who said something about the flow being weird because The Roots play before Richie Hawtin? They're on opposite sides of the field :wtf:

edit // All that being said, this year was one of the most unimpressive Coachella lineups to date. I'm talking both dance music and rock music. So bleh this year.
