| Gauss, I always said that about minimal, until I heard a set live, most of the stuff sounds really empty and plink plonky in computers, but in a nice sound system, those percs and that bassline is all you need to move your body |

I have yet to hear minimal live seeing how there are no minimal events in area where I live, but I suppose I'll check it out if I get the chance, just to see what's all the fuss about. |

Exactly. I used to only see it as good for the first couple of tunes in a set to start the flow off. Once I heard it on a ing sick sound system, my opinion totally changed. |

"LOL imagine like ... Hawtin playing that one tune ... and ... and then like PVD ... drops ANTHEM! hahahahahahhaHAHAhahahahHAH!"
shut the fuuuuuck up :stongue: |
Knowing how much it irritates you (your attention to the issue makes that much clear) only emboldens me. ;)
Now, why don't you get off my dick and get back to working on more cheese for Somatic - your fans await.

I wish I had the money to go to the Werchter festival this year in Belgium, that lineup looks fantastic. Bjork and Muse on the first day, KOL, Pearl Jam and QOTSA on the seconds, day three is significantly more pants but still has the Chems and LCD soundsystem, then to finish off with Aussie Pink Floyd, Faithless and Metallica haha
Obviously with any festival you're going to have to endure some pants but for me personally, Werchter has a great Good to ratio.
Day 1:
Main Stage: Billy Talent, Zornik, My Chemical Romance, Marilyn Manson, Björk, Muse
Pyramid Marquee: Air Traffic, Rufus Wainwright, Air, Mika, Beastie Boys, Dr. Lektroluv
Day 2:
Main Stage: The Van Jets, Enter Shikari, Kings of Leon, Kaiser Chiefs, Bloc Party, Queens of the Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys, Pearl Jam
Pyramid Marquee: Jason Mraz, Oi Va Voi, Joan as Police Woman, Sioen, Lily Allen, Admiral Freebee, Satellite Party, Gabriel Rios
Day 3:
Main Stage: Heideroosjes, Razorlight, Amy Winehouse, Snow Patrol, The Killers, Peter Gabriel, Keane, The Chemical Brothers
Pyramid Marquee: The Bravery, The Hold Steady, Blonde Redhead, Klaxons, Goose, Arno, The Good, the Bad and the Queen, LCD Soundsystem
Day 4:
Main Stage: !!!, Mastodon, The Kooks, Interpol, Incubus, Metallica, Faithless
Pyramid Marquee: Stijn, Cold War Kids, Maximo Park, John Legend, Frank Black, Damien Rice, The Australian Pink Floyd Show, Tori Amos |

now are the attacks against my music really necessary? I don't poke fun at your flamboyant career of a balding dj doing free hometown bar gigs now do I?
and ... doesn't really seem like you thought my track was cheese in this thread :conf:

I don't listen to a ton of trance anymore, but this is hot. I really like the melody a lot, definitely need to work on the highs a little bit as I definitely agree with the "hissy" comment. Bassline needs some work, either needs to be turned up or just have a little something added to it. I like the bassline, it's just like I'm barely getting enough of it though.
Your kick may also be a bit much - It just seems to have a lot of weight behind it.
For the most part though, this tune makes me want to play trance again :)
Well done |

| Weird no one has mentioned DJ Shadow yet, haven't heard much from him lately, but his earlier stuff is brilliant. I'd definitely attend that |

His latest album was rather poor but Endtroducing is still one of the greatest albums ever made in my opinion. After hearing his sets back in the day, seeing this guy live has been an ambition of mine for a long time. |

lol. You forgot, though, he'd also have to speed it up ridiculously during the transition...No way he'd stand for playing anything under 140. |
