| My dad and I were looking at the same two cars but 5 years ago. He was looking either between the Lexus Ls430 or the Mercedes S500...we chose to get the LS430, mainly because they're 2 exact same cars, but the lexus comes FULLY LOADED for $10,000 less! As I compare the 2007 models...Lexus and Benz has a 4.6L and still pushes out 380hp while the Benz needs a 5.0L to push out 382 hp. I also find the lexus' to be extremely wayyyy more comfortable and smoother ride than it's counterpart. Do you really care if you have an AWD mercedes? dont think you'll be taking it offroad like a WRX AWD or s4 AWD. Lexus better gas mileage, cheaper, looks great...PARALLEL PARKS ITSELF, $17,000 cheaper...oh yea one more thing, 8 SPEEDS!!!!!!!!!! DONT MAKE the mistake and pay $17,000 more! |

Been looking very hard at the Lexus LS 460..I think its sexy but it just seems too easy to pick the first ride that comes to mind. If you had to pick a car in the same class what would it be?(not paying more for a car...its pretty much as far as i'll go) Gimme suggestions...maybe i'll change my mind.
igk...i dont need a van for scooping kids off the street so plz abstain:p

go for the LS460L. I drove it a couple months ago. Its totally pimp. Its a lil heavy but has 380hp to make up. Rides like a dream. The only thing is that the self park is gay. But its first generation so what can ya expect. |

| any dealer that throws in the pink leopard print fedora at no extra charge has himself a sale me thinks.;) Its juts such a hard choice to make...I don't really want Mercedes because im brownish and don't want to look Saudi, beemers too tacky. Plus if i ever get bored, Skyline engines fit in the 460:crazy: |

Stick with the Lexus if you're going for quality and comfort. There's always the LS600h that was voted car of the year.
I had nothing but great experiences from when I had my IS300.
Edit: Keep that nissan crap out of the LS460. |

The LS600h is the , unfortunately the one with the options i want are sometimes hard to come by...i could wait but I wanna get it over with.
edit:one of the draws of this car is that i know someone who did the Skyline transfer. A few key strokes later you could not imagine the comfort monster with enough punch to make any one talk like Muhhamed Ali that this car became. |

I don't agree on BMW being "tacky." If you dress one all up or drive it like an , yeah, but you really can't buy a better car. I'd say spend the extra 10 grand a get a 2008 650iL. If you're dead set against anything BMW, take a look at the Audi A8. |

thanks guys
:)
and my fondness for nissan comes from owning a 240sx and 300sx in the past. You may all think it crazy as the Lexus already has a good power plant under the hood, you just cannot imagine how adaptable the car becomes. wouldn't do it right away of course, but in 3 to 4 years for sure. |
