holy hell, is that the new TT? That looks so much better than the last one I saw. As for why not? 'cuz he wants a big ass car with a load of space.
I've had two lexuses & a bmw, and the lexuses were very reliable and fairly well-made, but they're geared a bit too much towards riding comfort for my taste--the ride is too soft and the stearing isn't tight enough. If that's what you want, though, they're excellent cars. Had each of them (both new) for 3 years and one went pretty much problem-free (a couple minor things), but the other wound up with a transmission problem that required a bit more work. The BMW's in its 2nd year now (new again), but it's been completely issue-free. Haven't had a single thing happen once, and it's about 20k miles in. For my preferences, the BMWs are just far more well-geared towards people who really enjoy driving, like I do. The ride/handling balance is better than on any other car (within a given type), but it's more aimed at people who are willing to give up that extra pillow-soft level of comfort (or who even dislike it) for more road feel and tighter handling. That said, a BMW also depreciates in value less than any other brand of car (with some individual exceptions), but if you're planning on keeping it forever, that's not an issue anyways.
and don't touch a land rover with a 10-foot pole. As mentioned before, those things are just -ups waiting to happen. |

Wait, he wants a big-ass car with space, and any of you are thinking a TT?
Dude is 6'4"
TT = Fail.
New one looks nice though, hadn't seen it before now. :) |

no matter how rich you are, having to take something in to get fixed all the time is a royal pain in the ass.
And a Land Rover just makes you look like a trophy wife or a wanna-be rapper. |

i agree with everything you said, except that toyota/honda [lexus/acura] are typically the best in the depreciation department.
