Trance without BONZAI tracks.... (pg. 4)

Trance would be the same without BONZAI, because all of those people would still be making music. All the label does is promote someone else's work.

I've been into Bonzai stuff for many years too, since 1996, but even back then, i kept listening to the 1993-1995 sound, because i had to keep up with what i missed !

Tranceseeker, all the tracks you talked about here are pure classix to me too :)

You said :

energy 52 - café del mar
jones&stephenson - the first rebirth
cygnus x - superstrings
push - universal nation
prayers - imagination
les sabotages - secret
commander tom - are am I
Yves DeRuyter - the rebel
cygnus x - orange theme
Da hool - meet her at the love parade
quadran - eternally

I guess that as someone (you?) said, Bonzai is only really famous in Belgium, but also in France quite surprisingly (it's surprising because there is no trance in France !)

Yves Deruyter used to play very very often in France, North and Noth-East of France, and all people here in my area who are around 25 years old used to have fun in french clubs in 1993-1995 to the good old Bonzai style !

All stuff released in Bonzai CD Compliations 1 to 5 are pure classix where I live, hehe, and that's really cool.
I'm just mad I was too young to go clubbing back then :p

It is true that Yves Deruyter is the last one to remain among the early DJs there. F.Santini too
I ask this question once in a while, because I never got any satisfying answer, but does someone really know why Axel Stephenson quit producing stuff for Bonzai ?
He really was the leader till 1996...the best of all.
I think he had the same influence as MIKE or L-Vee have now for Bonzai.

I also loved all what Bonzai produced between 1996-1999, that was so trancey...so uplifting and all, I loved it :D
I guess 1992-1996 was the hardtrance era, 1996-1999 the uplifting one, and 1999-2002...mhh..not sure, but it's turning prog I think

As for Platipus and Hooj, they're definitly some major labels since the beginning !
All 3 meant a lot to what trance is now.

I started listening to Platipus stuff since 1995, and all the tracks you listed here are pure classix as well :)

btw...
it's Bonzai's 10th ANNIVERSARY this year !!
Let's celebrate !!
:p

the only song i dont know is "les sabotages - secret"
is it possible you mean "les sabotages - birth one"
because thats a huge song
and from my opinion you can add " philippe van mullem - sugar of life" to that list
Stanza
I do agree Bonzai has done a lot for the trance commnunity but there a tons more other quality labels to choose from. Think of Platipus, Hooj, Eve, Hook, Whoop!, Additive, the list just goes on.

But I think Bonzai would rate as one of the top trance labels at the moment.

Yeah !!! Birth One and Sugar of Life, such amazing tracks ! So beautiful..ohhh..they drove me mad back then, in 1997 :D

But i still love them ! Still looking for them on vinyl now and then..hehe

I could add The Voyager - Back on Earth from that era, do you know that one ??

I never heard Les Sabotages - Secret actually, but I know that title, I've seen the vinyl somewhere.
Tranceseeker, could you send it to us please ?
dj Zevan
all songs of that amazing cd "from bonzai with love '97"
C-naptik
Yes !! From Bonzai With Love '97, one of the best CD compilations EVER !!

I'm happy to see some guys with the same tastes ;)

Hey I have an idea for those who want it

I have a web-radio (through live365) and maybe all Bonzai-fans could tune in some time and i'll play some good old Bonzai tracks so that we can all share our emotions while listening and remembering :)

What do you all think ??
