he makes plenty of originals too, you know. But maybe that wouldn't be apparent to someone who focuses solely on bashing the remixes. |
I guess it wouldn't but then again I wasn't talking about his originals to begin with. |

yeah ... i know you were talking about the remix(es), but when I brought up the fact that he loves doing these remixes, you claimed that the music isn't even his own :wtf: So i'm not sure where you tried to take that argument, but I do have to admit you make some insightful observations of things that are unapparent to the majority. Things like ... remixing involves using other artists' work. :eyespop: |

Well, after getting countered with "why? because you said so?" I thought I'd try and dumb things down for you and it obviously went off course since I'm not very good at that.
So yeah. What was the argument again? |

you always preach how the music you make yourself is only made for yourself. If others like it, great. If they don't, it doesn't matter.
Now here you are suggesting Sean should perhaps make music that works outside the club. Well, I figured it appropriate to ask "Why? Because you said so?"
it's really quite a valid question, just think about it :p |

To change things up a bit, I guess. Or just for kicks (no pun intended). I mean tracks that only work well in a club obviously have their place but I'd imagine it would get a bit boring after a while. And I guess eventually he could reach to a new fanbase that way too (or at least slightly less hate from the "haters") - and, of course, if it doesn't work he can just go back to what he's good at.
I didn't mean the original comment in a bashing sense. It'd just be fun to see if he could do other things as well (I'll leave the remixing classics bit out for now as it's a completely different issue). |

you don't? Last time I read your opinions on this matter was in the production studio section where you said you don't really follow anyone's suggestions/feedback on your music (unless it's something small like mastering or levels).

ah well i am surprised that you didn't mean it in a bashing sense, didn't expect that. I have to say I would also love to see what Sean can do outside the club-trance boundaries, but I'm also completely content with the tracks that he does put out at the moment. When he's ready to try something new, I imagine that he will :) |

Well yes, but I don't know how that's "preaching".
Anyhoo, I think that's about all I've got on this subject. |

It's not, I just made that up (See: ARMND0815 - 08/15 ;-). But that what the release would probably look like :toothless |
You do know there's a whole label just for VDM remakes: More Moor? :nervous: |
