I ran in to this issue a few times but always got around it because I was always on TDY orders to different states. Its not that anyone is trying to get special treatment, its that we normally don't live in any one particular state long enough to change over. If we're exempted from having to change them due to our status then whats the issue? Some bases/states have different laws and I always try to be in accordance with them, but I'm not going out of my way to change my plates/tags for a 6mth/1yr stay. Thats expensive and ridiculous.

| Don't feel bad, I am losing my license for 90 days for failing to pay a drinking citation fine in a timely manner. So now I have to pay $300 and lose my license. Boo :( |

wow that does suck. but then again, drinking and driving is something i think is pretty stupid (and you know it's illegal to do). or did you do something else? |

I didn't drink and drive, and I definitely never would. I was busted by the cops for drinking underage at a party. And, if you ignore the citations that are mailed (which I did), as a penalty they take away your license. |

ooooo suck! well, underage drinking is ok in my books. $300 is pretty hefty tho, damn. |

I have a cop story. Let me copypasta...
I love cops.
*Auto gril = amazing pricey Italian resturant downtown. This happend around 1:00am this morning.
So I got pulled over by the cops on the way home. 2 reasons. 1- it's a long week-end for the states and a lot of people are making their way down, so they just want to make sure everyone is getting where they want safely, so just a random check, and 2- I had food in the back seat and it fogged up the back window so they thought I was hot boxing my car lol!! So it went like this " Ma'am DL and reg please" " hand over the crap ( tis my boss' car) so they check it out blablbla, had to call my boss and make sure that it was not stolen, and then he gives me a Sobriety Testm passt with flying colors, so he goes on to say C- " what smells so good" T-" Oh that's my food, sir".C- "wait, is that from the Auto Grill down town" T- "eeyaah..?" "Smells like it , my son is one of the chefs there" |

i honked at an undercover cop once. and when i got pulled over, i said, "officer i thought you were my friend". apparently there's a thing called "illegal use of the horn" :( |
