so i totally wasn't planning on purchasing any "wedding planner" type books anytime soon, but since i randomly stumbled onto a few neat ones while browsing Amazon (and i'm completely ing clueless when it comes to actually planning our wedding), i think i've decided to purchase them...

Good call on choosing to make it a small wedding, by the way. Adam's (DJFreaq's) wedding this past weekend was about 200 people or so. It made me realize what a huge ing stress it was to deal with, and before the ceremony had even begun I'd already said, " it, when I get married it's going to be with maybe 50 people, all of whom will be immediate family and people who were important to me in various aspects of life thus far."
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much bull to deal with with a big wedding. |

I'll be honest - I was working under the assumption that all we had to do was tell people we were getting married and the rest would figure itself out.
On further reflection, yeah - that can't be right.

Yup - and I'd say even 50 is a stretch for us.
We were thinking closer to 30. |

totally agreed. i think our guestlist is somwhere between 25 and 30 people. |

btw, i was totally sold on the Offbeat Bride book when i saw that it includes a chapter titled "The Sugar High: Getting Your Friends and Family Hooked on a Dangerous Drug Cake"
