ok, so i suppose i should share a bit of the story behind all of this...

we were out for a fancy dinner the night before my brother's graduation out in NY, and my aunt was telling Rob and i the story of how she met her husband and how they got married. they got together in a very romantic "love re-united" type of way, and had a very small and simple wedding at their new house that they were just moving into in Santa Barbara... flowers in the backyard, dancing in the living room, delicious catered food, $30 wedding dress, and only their closest friends and family members. it was the first time Rob and i ever felt like "wow, that's totally how we'd want to get married!"

anyway, we expressed how awesome we thought that was, and how we had always thought we were just going to elope until we heard that story... and she says "well come get married at our new house in Seattle next summer!"

later that night, as we lay in a king size bed at a Comfort Inn in Albany, NY, we basically decided that this was something we really wanted to do. there wasn't some huge surprising proposal or anything fancy like that... just a totally natural decision between the 2 of us, which imo is the way that it should be.

The house we'll be married at is a brand new, gorgeous house on an island in the middle of Puget Sound, one of my all time favorite places on the planet:

I wish I had the pictures of the view from the house... but it's absolutely tites
