But that's the reason we dream, Clovis, even Freud told us that. I mean...

... to whom is life this good!? :p |

I've always heard that your dreams are reflective of what you did during the day. I find this to be true sometimes but more often my dreams are crazy and unexplainable. I've also heard that we work out our problems while sleeping, how dreaming about banging chicks helps me fix my problems I don't know but it sure is fun.
I often dream that I'm watching a movie or playing a video game and before I know it I'm in that movie or video game...weird stuff.
Here's the other thing I've noticed: before I ever had sex I would have sexual dreams but they wouldn't be all that great since I had never had sex in real life. Following losing my virginity I found that my sexual dreams were much more vivid and intense since I could apply the actual experience to them. |

Clovis, Anna knows of a really cool website about dreams. I just emailed her asking for the link. I'll send it to you once she sends it to me.
Does anyone on here have sleep paralysis? It's when you are dreaming, but you think you are awake, and you are unable to move, open your eyes, or yell and you usually feel a presence in the room with you. I get sleep paralysis every now and then, but they are usually very horrible experiences.
One time a few years ago, I was lying in bed, tossing and turning. Suddenly, I felt a hand gently run against my right arm. I was too scared to open my eyes, but even when I tried, I couldn't open them. I distinctly felt the fingers touching my body. The hand slowly started reaching for my shoulders and chest. I wanted to yell for my mom to come help me, but I couldn't move, open my eyes, or scream. I was freaking out.
The touching slowly became more intense. It almost felt like whoever was in the room with me was trying to sexually pleasure me, but I wasn't enjoying it. After a few minutes of trying to “seduce me” or whatever it was trying to do, I felt the "presence" move behind me with its hands holding my arms down on my bed VERY tightly (my bed used to be set up so that I had a 2 ft. gap between my bed and the wall). The "presence" was making sure I wasn't able to move or get up. It was then that I thought the "presence" was Satan. I didn't know what to do, and I could feel my heart beating like crazy.
After what felt like at least 15 minutes (from the moment I felt the hand running against my arm, to that moment), I was finally able to yell out my moms name, but my voice sounded like a scary demon voice. When I heard my own voice, I finally snapped out of it, opened my eyes, sat up in my bed, and realized that no one was in my room with me, but I was still very scared. I seriously wasn't sure if what just happened was real or if it was just a dream. It felt (physically and mentally) way too real to be just a dream.
Has anyone else had an experience similar to this?
Another more recent experience I had with sleep paralysis, was I dreamt that I hadn’t seen my dad in months, and he ended up passing away (god forbid that). So again in my dream, I was lying in bed, and then I felt my dad’s spirits presence in my room with me. I could hear my dad crying, and I physically felt him hold my hand. I wasn’t able to talk to him. I was forcing myself so hard to be able to communicate to him, and when I was finally able to move, I woke up. Again, like the other sleep paralysis experience I had, I didn’t know if what just happened was real or a dream. I called my dad first thing in the morning to make sure he was ok.
Besides my problems with sleep paralysis, I usually have really vivid but bad dreams. I don’t remember the last time I woke up and thought “I want to go back to sleep cuz I was really enjoying that dream and I wanna continue it". |

Can you write about it again? I've told so many friends about that dream, but no one has experienced anything similar to it. |
