for 2 months straight?! i thought you'd have to take them off every time you'd have a shower! or do you take them off and put them back in? :nervous:

"give her this, this , then these"
"thank you doctor"
"oh I'm not a doctor"

:stongue: :stongue:

And this is why I wear glasses. I am mortally afraid of putting anything onto my eyes, after 5 operations on them in my life, I just can't bring myself to do it

not really because the word "someone" doesnt imply a gender, whereas "he" implies that the person is of the male sex. "they're" is gender agnostic. :)

no, it's not. 'they' can only refer to more than one person. If you wanted to be 100% accurate, you would say 'he or she,' but that's considered awkward, and picking one gender or another is the more accepted method.

I kept forgetting to order new ones one time and went for a couple months with them on. You don't have to take them off for a shower--just before you go to sleep for the night (naps are fine), and at least once every 24 hours.

you dont need to take them off when you shower. unless your ty at taking a shower without rubbing them out. i know i dont have a problem. but yeah that was a bad thing. i dont do that anymore. i take them out every night before i to to bed.

incon: i didnt say MORE THAN ONE person. i said GENDER REFERENCE. :)

uses 'someone,' which can only refer to a single person. 'They' cannot be used to refer to a single person...well, anything can, but it isn't correct usage to do so.

QFT

on topic, the lenses shift only if i rub my eyes a lot when the contacts are dry. seriously try saline and moving stuff around in the eyeball...

If it's not irritated it probably fell out, you'd be in pain if it was a whole week behind your eye.

get one of those small bottles of coke that come out of vending machines. Pour it into the sink that is plugged. Put your face in there with your eyes open and blink several times. The acid of the soda circle around your eye and then dissolve the lens and then you won't have to go to the doctor to have your eye removed.

best advice ever

that's happened to me before too but i can never leave it in for so long cause i get scared its gonna stay forever and that's like really bad. i think the longest that its been behing my eye is like not even half an hour bc i refuse to let it stay there.

but try to have someone else help u take it out. lift up ur eyelid as much as possible and look all the way down and roll ur eye around to see if they can see it... then u just have to try to slide it back down.

yeah same here. i guess it's not so much touching my eyes, but putting something IN them. and of course them rolling back and severing the optic nerve. i'll pass.
