welcome to "the oc"...well more closely south county. EVERY kid gets a bmw in the driveway for their 16th. they have all the gadgets they want. cell phones, computers, tvs, etc. you name it they got it. its so ing rediculous. they are whiny bitches too! |

If they get something sweet it's because they'll have earned it. That's the same way I was brought up. Hell, that's how I got my first video game console. My little brother and I wanted one and my mom said she wasn't going to pay for it, so we busted ass, saved up and were like, "Hah, what now!?" We've paid for all of our consoles, PCs, laptops, and all of that expensive equipment. It feels better to know that I earned what I have rather than to know that I pissed and moaned until someone bought it for me.
Oh, and I seriously hope my kids talk about me the same way I talk about my dad. |

My thoughts exactly. Heck, I'm 21 and I don't even need a cellphone. It kinda irritates me when I see 13 year old kids with ipods, laptops, pagers, blackberrys and calling their parents on some high tech cellphone just to know what's for dinner. They'll grow up not understanding the value of things. |
