My thoughts exactly. Heck, I'm 21 and I don't even need a cellphone. It kinda irritates me when I see 13 year old kids with ipods, laptops, pagers, blackberrys and calling their parents on some high tech cellphone just to know what's for dinner. They'll grow up not understanding the value of things. |
It's those parents who are trying to give their kids a "childhood that [the parents] never had." It'll the kids up. The kids are going to be smacked in the face by both society and life once they're out of high school. Either those kids or their kids will turn around and start being responsible parents when they reproduce. Then their kids will become like todays parents. It'll just be a vicious, predictable cycle throughout generations. |

| My children won't say because they'll live in fear of the consequences of opening their mouths. |

| I can understand the cell phone and computer thing. Especially in today's world. I wouldn't dare put the computer in their room though. Kids are ing stupid and don't know how to use a computer, they'll probably something up. Or they'll end up dancing naked on YouTube. Best leave the computer in the living room :p |

| kids will always be smarter than their parents when it comes to computers. even if you have parental controls, they'll figure out ways around it. just knowing what kind of i did on the computer when i was younger, i'd be scared to even have a computer in the house if i had kids. bad news, imo. |

Not me... but, I'm also an IT guy/computer geek/network administrator/help desk agent, plus I've been into computer stuff since I was a little , so I guess I'm one of the exceptions to the rule. ;) |

That's true for now because our generation was the first to really grow up with computers and internet. That doesn't mean the next generation will be more used to them than we are. |
