Israeli government, as usual, is doing an excellent job laughing and watching from a distance doing nothing while the Fatah movement is getting obliterated ... they were the only ones who would actually co-operate with Israel. Now that Hamas has consolidated power, it will actually make it even harder for Israel to reach any peace with Palestinians. Oh wait - Israel has always been like that. Palestinian people are getting screwed more and more ... |

Would you support Israel entering Gaza with massive forces to help Fatah against Hamas?
No matter what Israel could have done in this situation you would blame Israel for acting wrong.
Palestinians and Israelis suffer mainly because of fundamentalist extremist Islam. |

Took the words out of my mouth.
Isreal is doing exactly what they should be doing; nothing.
Flotser's right, if Isreal HAD done anything, people would be jumping up and down about how they're taking advantage of the situation amoungst the chaos.
Why give the anti-Zionist crowd fuel when they believe the jOOws are out to get everyone anyways? |

It all sounds fine and dandy, but however - Palestine is under control of Israel, its territory. If Palestinians had their own state, which they dont, then yeah Israel should have not done anything. But thats not the case. So it rightfully shouldn't just sit there. Thats the reason for the problems - Israel sits there does nothing, or Israel bombs the heck out of Palestinian towns. Israel is holding Palestinians hostage - it interferes with Palestinians self-determination and progress, and at the same time as the wrong times it sits there and just lets the radicals seize power. If Israel had granted Palestinians their independence long time ago these radicals would have not been as strong to feed off this occupation. |

| Israel doesn't know the language of peace. They wont negotiate with Palestinians until Palestinians strip naked, bend down on knees and say 'Ok we are sorry.. now talk to us'. Someone kidnaps two Israeli solders and they invade whole ing Lebanon and blew everything apart. I hope Hamas wins this time too, they rebuild their army, and launch guerrilla warfare from all sides on Israel.. Vietnam style. Hamas need not win this guerrilla war.. only prolong it and drag it for a longer period of time.. only than Israel will say.. 'Ok we are willing to talk, lets end this.' |

first off your a moron. second, are you talking about the PLO definition of "Palestine" because i'll tell ya, THERE IS NO PALESTINE! FFS.
third, the whole reason for this debacle is because Israel pulled out of GAZA in 2005 and left it up to the Palestinians...and Iran for the most part.
WELCOME TO THE NEW ISLAMIST PARADISE THAT IS NOW GAZA
we should all weep for the future of Palestinians and innocent moderate Arabs in the region |

According to the wiseasses here then we should leave things the way they are and always blame someone else ... like the Arab states, thats it. Even though Arab states have no jurisdiction within Israel's proper, Palestinian autonomy. Israel is holding Palestinian people hostage whether you like it or not, whether you choose to admit it or ignore it. Let the militants seize power, so that Israel can then resume bombings of Palestinian towns when Hamas decides to strike its mortal enemy Israel. Then Israel can hail how great it is by attacking the radicals, killing civilians and helping Palestinian people by further alienating support and create rubble out of their homes. Yes, thats it. |

What do you propose Israel should do now then? |
