Footwork?

Ok I just got a couple questions about Footwork since me and my buddies are going to be going there for the first time June 23 to see Deadmau5 and Jelo. Any help & info would be greatly appreciated. Btw I'm coming from Windsor so I don't know Toronto very well.

1. How big is Footwork? Like capacity and maybe compare to a room in the Guv?

2. Is there a dresscode?

3. What kind of crowd should we be expecting? (Lots of sweaty shirtless muscle heads, sketchy asians or people who are there just to look pretty?) So basically is it a Guv crowd or not?

4. Do they serve alcohol or is it a true "afterhours"?

5. What's the sound like in that room?

6. Why isn't there more hype about a local guy like Deadmau5 doing big things on the international scene. I see not even 20 posts in the event thread. If there was a windsor guy as good as him I would hope he'd get a lot of support. If you haven't listened to his music I suggest you do cuz its the freshest stuff I've heard in a long time. Every track I've heard from him in every different style he's done has been amazing.

Cheers,
jon jon
1. 350, I think
2. no
3. mixed crowd, but no sweaty men with shirts off (thank god)
4. yes (they serve)
5. amazing sound, one of the best in city
6. deadmau5 is still making a name for himself amongst clubbers, still only really being talked about amongst dj's/ producers

> it's the size of the orange room (inside guv), maybe a little bit bigger.

2. Is there a dresscode?

no, there is no dress code, but ppl tend to dress nice on saturdays

3. What kind of crowd should we be expecting? (Lots of sweaty shirtless muscle heads, sketchy asians or people who are there just to look pretty?) So basically is it a Guv crowd or not?

shirtless muscle heads NO
sketchy asians - NEVER at Activate parties, never @ FW on saturday nights
snobby ppl + girls with fake - NO
its nothing similar to the guv crowd

4. Do they serve alcohol or is it a true "afterhours"?
they serve alcohol till 2am

5. What's the sound like in that room?
you will enjoy it. They just upgraded it. I love it. some ppl complain. but ppl always complain.

well, i guess ppl on TA are too busy with facebook, drama and pvd. There is enough hype, just not on TA.

Thanks guys this is music to my ears, sounds like the perfect venue to me. Good sound, open dj booth, no shirtless dudes or sketchy asians...
