Firstly hello to nita, jeff, mike, mark, jason, spad, sy, sys friend, bella, nelson, gibson, tyrell, toby, cyberfairy(lori), cyberfairies friend, calla, fray, i think that is it, prob forgot a few major peeps.

What a night that was, a very succesful UKTA meet up, and i didnt thump jason :( or jeff.

Anyway best sets IMO where Judge Jules ofcoarse, and Dj Scot Project. 2 top sets with mixing spot on and damn good tune selection. But set of the night went to scotty.

Worst set was prob in the chemical generation. But i thought PVD was wank. He dropped a few huge tunes, but lost the while to live and couldnt beatmatch. And his set did not flow, not the normal stuff from pvd.

Missed tiesto. Taul Paul was playing a lot of the popular stuff, and i thought he had a good set, well what i heard of it.

Az and I where loving jules set, top set, then went and loved scotty. Picotto was a bit strange, and i didnt like the set, not what i was expecting.

Matt Hardwich played a mint warm up set, got us all in the mood.

Oh and thanx everyone for the warm welcome, and for making me feel at home, well at teh NEC at home :p

Every singles UKTA and dutch Ta's were mint, and oh hello to proxi and loginz (u seemed to disappear at the end of the night) And other people cant remember your names

I must apologize as i have had no sleep so this maybe messy. But thanx all of you, it was a top night out, even though most djs were way off top form.

Oh and seee i told you jules can play well

Oh and jason see im not him :p

Thanx again everyone and hope to see you again very son :)

FLY!!!

Ok , since meeting a few of you last night ive decided to post in here alot more!

Ok so we got in and headed straight for the Discotech areana, were Hardwick was doing the warm up, he did a great job and by the time he had finished, i was ready to go mad. PvD Had a wicked intro with fireworks and (Which we got some photos of) and the atmosphere was ing class, im desperate to see the video from whatever channel it was filming!. By about 11.30 we were ing starving so he started heading for the hall way bit for some food, but then he dropped Ralphie B, so we looked at each other and cained it for a bit longer!
------------Food Review----------
We went and got a chicked burger each, which at 2 quid i thought was a bargin, only to realise it was the size of a macdonalds hamburger and had been microwaved and tasted like utter !!
------------/End of food Review-------

Then We headed for the experience Areana (Which the atmosphere was NOTHING compared to the discotech arena) BUt we heard some good tunes from Talla like Rank 1 awakening, Unfortuneatly his mixing was rather E and i think i could have done a better job (yep I can mix ask STE lol) Anyway, then tiesto came on. I was dissapointed that he didnt get a Lush intro like PVD did. I didnt even realise tiesto was on the decks untill my mate sed (yes because of my height - Dont take the piss).

BUt we stayed for the full Hour and a half and had it large! His set was great IMO, he played some real nice tunes, and when he dropped Lethal Industry the place went mad! After Tiesto we was all ing KNACKARD! So we went the back of the room and sat at a table for about 20 - 30 mins chillin and listening to Tall PAuls Mission to see how many tracks he could play that Tiesto Had already played. Prat.

My legs were ing aching like so we went back into the distotech arena and sat right at the top of the stand and watched thousands of people going mental to Picotto, the atmosphere i cannot discribe ,the view was amazing!!! Cant say ima fan of his music, in fact it nearly made me cry it was so scarey (LOL - Only Kiddin.) His mixing was Class and He got people going Mental. The bass on some of those tunes was immense and it rattled my empty stomach! we went down and near the front for the last 1/2 hour of his set gettin ready from Project to come on,

From being absloutely shattered and nearly fallin asleep in picottos set, i came back to life when project started playing on the 1's and 2's. He is a class DJ, and was dancing on the stage nearly the whole time. He played Overdrive and we was LOVIN it!! The remix of Follow me was class aswell! When the main melody came in the place lit up and everyone was dnacing as hard as the could!

@ 5.55, the lights came on and fireworks went bang, the crasher bloke asked if we wanted another one, of course everyone went mental, and then, yes, thats right, you heard the words " THUNDER IN PARADISE!!!" ------ BOOM BOOM BOOM.......
whatta tune!!!!

I was dissapointed not the see the full PVD set, but what are you to do when you gotta choose between him and teisto, when you havent seen either before?!

Anyway that was what i thought of it.
OVERALL - ING AMAZING

to those who missed out - Haha you wankers!!

Peace
gibbo
ur all twats

Right, i did post an 'official NEC Review thread' in the Party/Rave Info and Reviews bit, but I find that my bastard mate  beat me to it, so to save having thousands of threads on the same topic everywhere, i decided to transfer mine over to here. This is what i originally typed as i cannot be arsed to type something different again. :stongue:

Original Post:

Ello All,

Well, right now im guessing the rest of you are at the after party? Did you all go to the lake afterwards to mong out for a while? So i thought id do the honors and start a thread about last nights festivities.

Anyone think it will be possible to stick to one thread instead of having millions? lol! And please, no bull about how Jules is a 'cheesy' DJ or whatever. Those of you who go on about him that is.

So, what did people think? It was my first major dance event, and Dave C's first time in a 'proper club' and we both thought it was brilliant. We kicked off with Hardwick and then 3/4 of an hour of PvD and then went over to see Tiesto as i really wanted to see him, although i wasnt that impressed to be totally honest. We then chilled for a little while and myself and Dave C wanted to go to sleep lol. Felt shattered. Then went back to Discotech as, im sure the others will agree, that this arena had a much better lighting, sound and general atmosphere than the Gatecrasher Experience arena did. The lights in GE were like someone holding a huge maglight in your face.
We sat down for quite a bit of Picotto's set although some of the stuff he played had me out my seat and up and dancing straight away...the accapella of South Park...funny as i thought. Summit about the Germans wasnt it? I was rather impressed by Picotto, i've heard his style is sort of 'head techno/trance' and my expectations werent that high but he certainly surprised me with the hard stuff he was playing.
Then of course...Scot Project. We were up and dancing, as you lot that were there know as you were with us. Respect to Spad, Az, Dumonde Trancer and Miss Proximus as you're the ones i recall dancing with. Apologies to those i forgot. Scot Project is the kiddy. He was absolutely amazing, really hard and dark. And his last tune...Thunder In Paradise, what a reaction that tune got! Good choice.

Did anyone spend their time with Jules and Bond? What were they like? Any memorable tunes that blew the place apart?

Lastly, probably speakin for Dave C too here, cheers to everyone that was there talking to us etc last night. I didnt think you would bother speaking or anything like that because we havent met any of you before. Made the night that extra bit better, and really looking forward to all the foto's of us lot that i got. I'll post em as soon as possible. Hope you all had a great night too!

Now start replyin. I want to hear from everyone that was there :D

See you all at GCSSS. Im off to do some more sleeping and rest my poor feet.

Josh. (Choon Spinner, what ever you prefer to refer to me as)

Almost forgot...

Cannot forget to mention LoginZ either, cheers for the photo mate. I'll be sure to get you a copy asap. And wasnt this the biggest TA meetup so far? 20 or so wasnt it, i think thats what Spad said?

And soon enough it'll be time for the rollcall for GCSSS. Miss Proximus and LoginZ will you be over here for it?

Regards.

I was listening to jules, he dropped a few stormers, az will supply the names, but can u dig it, that really blew the lid :)

Bond i missed unfortunatly, but tall paul did drop southern sun (tiesto remix) and that blew the place apart, fray wont remember coz he was stuck between a big poll, security bloke and some human rights sill cow shouting out sommit like "we aint sheep you cant do this" as she pushed forward. That was the only bad point on how they just shut arenas, but top night had by all me thinks :D

Totally agree mate. lol! Although, as i said, quite a bit of his stuff had me dancing. But i swear Picotto is disturbed! He is evil. i dont think he likes being Italian...he'd prefer to be a German Gabba Techno DJ!!

Well i thought the arena became less packed when he played, mosat people went to see jules spin, it was packed in there :)
DaveC
It got less packed in the Discotech arena towards the end, but lets face it, not many people can handle two hours of picotto lol, he sorts the men from the boys.

I wouldnt have minded goin to see the judge cos im not a fan of picottos music, but listening to his radio show earlier put me off abit lol.

Does anyone know what Bonds set was like?
evil_bastard
Sounds like you did an aweful lot of chilling out. pfft.

And you left Picotto's set for Jules?!?!?! Are you mad!

I'll see Picotto for the first time in two weeks alongside Matt Hardwick till 6am. Should be fookin awesome.
