| Well, this was all the same we were saying about Pacha, about how they only book certain funky commercial house guys at all the Pacha's around the world, and look how wrong we were... Granted, I hate the Pacha space, but look at some of their bookings (Chris Liebing, Sander Van Doorn, etc.) and you can see chain clubs don't always follow in their homeclub's footsteps ;) |

hopefully not the type of best talent they get in miami. Dirty Vegas, DJ Konflict, and Dj Riz aren't exactly the best talent.
I'm sure this will be mainly a hip hop club in no time. |
It will be run by people in the NYC club business. Like I said before, don't speculate until it opens. I know who will be booking the talent, and all of you went to the parties he booked at Crobar. |

don't give pacha too much credit....alot of their bookings are outsourced. It takes some of the risk out of managing a club to let others do it for you.

that's the kind of info that gives me some hope. Thanks for the clarification |

| I agree with your Pacha statement, I know almost none of the bookings are done in the Pacha offices. But most venues are running like that nowadays (Love, Sully, Cielo, etc., correct me if I'm wrong), so they picked some good promoters to do some good bookings for them, let's hope Mansion does the same, aside from their in-house bookings :) |

i'd be happy if made events just took over their bookings. |

They have the ability. Having a big enough budget is the only thing that could get in the way of bookings. Mansion has the budget available. |
bull,,and this is what you people are missing....spending two million on a building that can not generate that amount of cash in years is absurd....i thought you people would know better than that...
overseas big name dj's have their visas paid for buy promoters....the fee is so high that they become exclusive to one particular promoter not the club....its in the contract....
when so many dj's have been ed over by this venue,,,why should they bother....
in my opinion its probably the same book in a different cover |

that would be even better. but just doing the bookings insulates them from a host of liabilities ranging from selling alcohol to minors to health code violations. |

James,,I love you dearly but thats bull...Don't forget,,I used to run a bar..Even though it's on a much smaller scale you're liabilities are exactly the same... |

| Like I said...wait and see, stop speculating. I was working at Twilo back when the staff was trying to decide if it was a good idea to book PvD. Negativity is the reason why the vibe is missing. |

That's bull, the negativity is a result of the ty vibe created by the new club owners burning desire to milk every last cent out of the space, namely this VIP craze.

i can't argue with experience. i was just saying they have zero liability by just promoting (as to the club). Their only real exposure is to breach of contract. |

Not true... Michael Brand, had he thrown the John Askew party @ Studio, would have no liability whatsoever if someone were to overdose or something like that, etc. Running a bar, you don't have to outsource operations on a night-to-night basis to promoters, it's very different. |
