| You know i agreed with people hating oakenfold for the past 5 or 6 years becuase he totally switched his music style and seemed to do things out of the edm scene and didnt have fun when he was in the edm scene. However when i saw him at WMC he tore it up. He is amazing. Funny thing is i liked him because he was OLD Oakenfold - it wasnt his 5-6 year recent . I mean i didnt hear any faster kill cat and madonna. I loved his set. If he is still playing the style he played when he was considered good then this should be an amazing show. However if he is doing new oakenfold style then god help us. But id say he was one of my favorite djs when i saw him at the Shelbourne wetgrooves event this year. Non stop fast trance. |

i have to decide between oakenfold (1015) and markus shulz (ruby skye) playing that night july 3...
want to see shulz, but i'd probably be going solo since all my friends want to see oakenfold, and then i would think i'm missing out on oakenfold
and i'm also willing to give him another chance. he's been disappointing the last couple times i've seen him. but should be a good show.
a couple of his BBC essential mixes from around 2000 are still some of my most listened to mp3s of all time.

If you are going with such high expectations such as his sets from from 99 - 00 then you will be dissapointed.. With Paul Oakenfold you never know what he will play or what type of set... I was really looking forward to his set @ Love Fest After party and GOD that was just BAD... I have not seen him since then..
But you will have fun at either show... MARKUS will bring it, that is all I know... with Oakey he might bring it.. :conf: |

when was the last time oakie played at 1015 :wtf:
i havent seen markus in a long time (05 at love parade i think and he was just ok that night IMO) and i've never seen oakie, so im still undecided. im guessing there will be a large PvD like crowd too maybe even kyro? i know what 2tall mean though but Trancelover24 is also right :whip: who knows, oakie may actually play an ok set plus its 1015, which ive never had a bad time at! RS its really up and down due to the crowd, especially since its 4th of July so they'll be a lot of tourist. |

Hey we also got 3 rooms of dance tunes to choose from. Joe and I cant compete with oaky but at least there will also be a full on TRANCE room!!!! |

argh!@#$% all good points. either choice should be good enough, and plenty more great acts to see this summer. maybe i'll download a couple recent sets by both to see what they've been up to. |
