| I think it sucks but since Daft Punk samples all their stuff anyways I can't get too upset. I just LOVE Harder, Faster, Better, Stronger and this Kanye version just sucks. |

Well, my jury may still be out on the drums that Kanye used, but I actually kinda like this song. It's super corny and the video's excessive use of katakana is laughable, but the rhythm is really neat, and makes me want to dance a whole lot more than a lot of hip-hop out there.
Honestly, I don't know why people are getting so worked about some sampling, that is, the one thing that every EDM artist has done at least once. I mean, I remember people panning Whiteroom because it was "nothing more than BT- Remember played backwards," but no one said it was some intrusion on BT's music. Missy Elliot did nearly the same thing to Cybotron - Clear a few years back, and I don't recall it getting flamed this badly.
I hope people haven't elevated Daft Punk to some god-like state. They make good, fun dance music, but their skill at it makes them no less sampleable than other acts. Get a grip, people. |

I just saw the video and it reminded me of Akira. Sure enough it has tail light streams.
I like the video. |

Yeah, because hip hop has never done that before. |

Did i say it like it was the first time dance music has been sampled for hip hop? NO. I said im pleased that hip hop producers are going into dance music to find inspiration and put their spin on it.
Read what i wrote, not what you assume i wrote. |

What i dont get is peoples critism of Kanye's lyrics in the song.
Stronger was made to be a club song. To have a sucessfull club song, the hook has to be strong, and Stronger has a very catchy hook and NOONE can deny that Kanye and Daft Punk made an incredible beat that is alot of fun to dance to.
If your judging lyrical content, sorry Kanye gonna come up mediocre. If your judging the song on the amount of time it will be spun in a club, he hit it out of the park. |
