What a cop out.

The team didn't play well because the coach played the wrong system and tactics.

Way to go. Blame the players for your suckiness.

While overall performance sucked, but a lot of individual players did have talent. There were teams with crappier players that did better than Canada. (North Korea for example)

Spain vs Brazil 11pm on CBC.

Should be interesting as both teams are shaky on defence, but excellent on attack

Finally the game is on. stupid cbc

extra time!

Spain 4-2 Brazil

Wasn't paying too close of attention, but Brazil dominated scoring twice but Spain comes back with 2 flukey goals.

Spain turns it up extra time and scores 2 goals.

Diego Capel had an impressive game.

Entertaining with plenty of attack

We missed alot of chances but we deserved the win IMO. We were really unlucky not to score before Brazil in the first half, just couldn't find a way past their keeper or create an opening. With all due respect to Brazil, aside from their 2 goals, their other chances came from the Spanish Defense's mistakes. Their creation was very poor and side from individual talent, they showed next to nothing. At the end of the day, beating Brazil is always something to celebrate, so bring on the Czechs :toocool:.

Chile-Portugal should be another war today. I have a feeling Portugal will bounce back into form... not saying they will win, but definetly will look more lively.

WOOT WOOT!!! I just got 2 tickets for $180!!! ($30) above face value . I think 6 or 7th row back for

Poland vs. Argentina.

I'm on my way to pick'em up, and...
I'll know in an hour if my boy can reach or he's a dirty sellout because he'd rathar spend a thrusday with his girlfriend who he sees everyday than support his birth nation's U-20 soccer team (very rare opportunity).

If its the latter I'll be selling the second ticket at the stadium.
PM after I post back with the answer.

Chile vs Portugal right now

lol @ Portuguese player snatching red card away from the ref and also getting sent off

lame match overall. Portugal couldn't get anything going. Chile dominated first half but content to sit on the ball on their 1-0 lead

You beat me to the punch... my dad, in 63 years of watching soccer had never seen anything like that. I think it might actually be a memorable match for that!

BTW, Craig Forrest was complaining about the Uruguayans being bad losers and diving/cheating... that was nothing compared to this. The Americans got a controversial last goal and were talking alot of to the Uruguayans, their anger was justified although I wouldn't condone their actions. Ok, yes tonight the ref got it all wrong, but the way Portugal reacted in the last minute there was unacceptable. That first action could have been just a yellow, but credit the Chileans for not turning it into an all out brawl which could have easily happened. But then the grand finale, the grabbing of the card. This had to be the most disgraceful thing of the whole tournament, especially because the player didn't even realise what he did wrong.. he was just crying. Yeah people compare him to C.Ronaldo... they're right; he sucks, he crys, he's a baby.....

The game was not a good game to watch live (both teams played soft)...

the polish atmosphere was awsome....

until we started to lose.

I love the support but am dissapointed with the result. That includes seeing almost double digit polish fans being arrested/ejected for behaving like hooligans.

I'm all for patriotism but do not agree with perpetuating the 'drunken polak hooligan' stereotype.

I hope I just saw the worst of it because I did meet a lot of wonderfully patriotic and considerate polish soccer fans.
