I refuse to watch a bunch of hypocrites preach to me about what i should do when they clearly don't follow their own words (that said i am definitely an environmentalist). The best way to help the earth is to lobby the government for change. Without government incentives there is no way to change oil dependence and create viable alternative energies. I can get into why that is but it would be useless on a trance website.

yea i agree with you for the most part
i was reading a article about how europe is sooooo far ahead of us in green technolgy and stuff
and its cause the goverment makes bills and stuff and its more of a way of life over there
i think in america people just dont give a
so its up to the goverment and people to actually get the message
cause the technogy is there
but on the other hand not everyone can afford a hybrid car or solar panels for the roof of their home

the government just has to provide the right incentives to the right groups. If the government gave incentives to power companies to produce alternative energy then it would reduce the cost. It could provide tax breaks, research grants, or straight subsidies. It is the wrong approach to rely on individuals because people will do what they can afford. For the most part individuals must meet their selfish needs. It is the governments responsibility to ensure that societal needs are satisfied. Providing green technologies is a societal need not a desire. We need energy independence, we need cleaner energy. it's up to the corrupt government to get it done. In this case it's too bad that money talks.

while i think that it is excusable for them to be slightly hypocritical if they are effectively getting a message across and the ultimate effect is more good than bad, in this case not only are they being highly hypocritical, the message is being sent to the wrong people. They need to focus on lobbying government. Or maybe they should use all that money earned to bribe government officials to vote on a bill against Exxon/shell/ford/toyota/etc....

Im watching it to see all these hypocrates preach something they have no idea how to control.

Theres no proof to conclude that global warming is man-made, and until these idiots realize it, ill continue to laugh at them.

This isnt to say that I dont think that we should look for more efficient ways for energy, but this is just horse .

Good ole American propoganda, with all the sheeple baa-ing to the tune.

Explain to me how climate changes occured from the Oligocene, Myocene, Pliestocene, Pliocene?

Good luck blaming it on mankind. You can slow the process, but youre not gonna stop it, its inevitable.

The issue isn't about climate changing on earth because everyone knows that earth's climate changes. The issue is how humans are impacting that change. Historically it appears that significant climate change takes hundreds or thousands of year to manifest, unless there is an intervening occurrence (a significant volcanic eruption, etc....) It appears that global temperatures are rising at a significant level in just 50 years. That suggests that there is an intervening occurrence. Because there doesn't appear to be another reason, if you look at the data on its face it is highly suggestive that humans are the cause of this change.

And if you read recent data it appears that the average global temperature is changing at a rate quicker than it has historically. Without reading into other issues and just looking at the data on its face the human impact on earth's climate doesn't look to be a good impact.

There has also been sunspot activity going on... how do you control that?
