funny how if someone's fave DJ makes some sort of overture to the audience, they go buck wild on the dancefloor and call it "crowd interaction...but when a DJ who they don't like or respect does it, they roll their eyes or spout some negativity about the DJ being full of themself.

Nah, i think any DJ is subject to criticism if they self fellate their egos with thoughts of self grandeur. Even if my favorite DJ PvD did the 'god pose' I would be critical and turned off.
But Armin and Oakey came to mind as they are the most abusive of this pose.
Again, it should be about the music, not the artists themselves.

Again, this is where you go wrong. For some reason, you seem to believe doing one pose is all about inflating the ego (i.e. Jesus-pose), while another pose (like hands-in-the-air) is a perfectly acceptable form of crowd interaction. Personally, I think Armin's grinning-and-clapping-like-a-5-year-old-kid-at-Christmas pose looks even more retarded than his Jesus pose. But at least I can admit they're both just different ways of interacting with the crowd. so either all crowd interaction is all about the ego, or none of it is. And PVD shouldn't be brought into this discussion at all considering his idea of crowd interaction is eating a lemon before his set. |

Bahaha, too funny.
You obviously havn't been to too many PvD shows. He does have this slight aversion towards Toronto (and it's club politics) which may have been the reason behind his 'lemon' performances here. |

i would be more offended after having paid $50-100 to see him play and all he does is get so ing wacked/killed/high/destroyed and all he does is do stupid on stage and play a horrible set where he cant mix properly (which he has a tendency to do these days). |
:haha: :haha: what?! |

| Which DJ started this crazy Jesus pose crap? Everyone's doing it now but I think Armin does it best because he gets so damn into it,it's comical. |
