and also on the black at funeral things, the family has to wear black for 40 days after the death, not just the widow :( |

| white at chinese weddings = big no no. white associated with death. though i guess at western ceremonies, it's fine. sort of explains why the bride changes into a red qipao during the reception if you have been to a huge chinese banquet. |
