- unlimited and unmonitored internet access
- claims (mileage/parking/tolls/entertainment)
- free microsoft training courses.
- free server related training courses.
- bonus pay for maintaining a higher than 3.0 cgpa in my partime degree course ( which actually pays for my fees )
- medical and dental
- paid study leave
- overtime pay + meal allowance
- able to buy top of the line desktops / laptops / servers / lcd monitors at dirt cheap prices and pay over a period of time ( pay deduction over a 6 month period )
- cellphone allowance ( i actually make a profit from this )
- company provides all staff with a laptop which is yours to keep after 9 months of working. ( p4 though )
that's about it i guess. |

I work for myself.
-Working from home
-Working in PJ's and not having to do hair or makeup
-Making my own hours, it means long hours either way and do it when it needs being done
-It's comparatively easy
Part time on the side I work for someone who is technically an in-law... this doesn't have many perks at all as I have come to realise quite painfully.
-Lots of cosmetics to play with
-Convincing accountants to do some of my personal tax returns
There's not a lot of perks there, however I consider myself successful financially and that comes at a cost of a lot of 12-16hour long days, sometimes 6-7 days a week which I'd rather be somewhere else. (that's everyone else's perk, it keeps me away from nice people :p) |
