doubtful, i konw, but what would you think if this #6 was *really* good? would it change your views on tiesto? or would it be like,"oh well, someone else must have done it, not him" type of feeling? |
Judging by the current state of affairs Trance is in, and judging by his sets in the last four years, I seriously doubt that this will be any good for me. I could be surprised, sure, because it's totally possible for quality Trance to still exist, it's just that the likelihood of that is so low it's not even funny.

Kinda was hoping Tiesto would start up his Magik series again... |
No, I'm very happy that he used the word "dead" when referring to the status of the Magik series. The entire series is fantastic and I imagine it would've suffered the same fate as the recent GUs, ISOS, etc. that have all been bleh. |

Ehrm, no. What you mean is what Sasha did on Involver. Tiesto and PvD just mix a bunch of tracks and slap their name on it. |
i was under the impression pvd re-edited most of the tracks on TPOD2.. |

my guess is that any big name dj/producer on a big label would NOT do this... i think for the most part that style of making a mix cd is gone. |

Interesting enough, even some weekly radio shows are produced using protools or ableton, and then broadcast post-production (ie. not mixed live) - a DJ might take 3 or 4 hours out of the week to put the show together, to make sure the mixing is good, where they can sit down with Protools or Ableton on a MacBook Pro - a few years ago, everything was done live in the studio, on 1200s or CDJs, using a Pioneer mixer, mixed live as broadcast - it's just not all that way anymore. |

Well of course it's all about studio mixes nowdays, but that doesn't mean < insert_dj > remixes every single track he includes in his set. |

Sasha had also 2 GU compilations or the Northern Exposure series, where were no special reworked tracks. And AFAIK PvD's TPOD was full of reworks. |

TPOD's and Involver all feature reworks, why? Because its the concept.
To my knowledge, asides from some new productions and the odd remix, this won't be a 'rework' concept. |

Really?
I'm pretty sure the Northern Exposure series was edited. |
