Why isn't the thread title "Christians offended by teachers version of Israeli history"?

If it's true (and not twisted by the most racist paper in history) then it's wrong and stupid (and the teachers are pussies, tho if it's a Muslim dominated school then maybe the teachers are Muslims too and might agree?)
There is far too much political correctness these days and it has allowed racists and xenophobes to hide behind accusations of political correctness gone mad when in fact it is just racism. It's like anti-Semitism has no meaning these days because so many people throw the accusation around when facing criticism over Israel that it allows genuinely anti-Semitic people to get away with it.
It's white middle-class people I blame, not Muslims. Every Christmas you can guarantee a fee stories in the Daily Hate Mail about Muslims banning Christmas because some white middle class liberal twat in the Council has decided "wouldn't it be nice if we had some multi-faith display" instead of the nativity or Christian symbols. Then everyone says it's because of the Muslims! Or some white middle class liberal twat will say the Union Jack offends people from other backgrounds (their still British!) so we can't fly them any more (but the Muslims get the blame). Like this curriculum at this "unnamed school" it will be 90% some white middle class liberal twat who, like all wmlc's (or whimlicks), is paranoid 24/7 that Muslims will be offended by the slightest little thing, when in reality, Muslims wouldn't get offended unless it was something pretty serious (and I'm talking about ordinary run-of-the-mill Muslims, not terrorists who probably would find something to hate the UK about) |

this is where the problem lies. Is it history ? Or is it distortion of facts ? The muslims certainly think it's a gross distortion. We don't. So ofcourse they will be offended. how to deal with it is another issue. But is not as simple to get over with. A backlash from radical muslims can cost you your life. In that case, you would be willing to forgo a bit of "history" to buy peace. |

That is an outsider perspective. If you go to some gulf country, I'm pretty sure you will be in the minority. Calling them stupid won't solve the problem. They will still come after you if you insult their religion :p |
