Its become cool to be "bad" or rude, or generally an thats extremely conceited.
One of MANY example is any hip hop video...
At the same time, its looked down upon WAY too often when someone does something nice,
acts politely, shows compassion, or is sensitive...
I can go on forever, but as my first post in this thread (and my ex-sig), i'll keep it simple:

Be careful when you say "we" instead of "I". Sitting here and reading what you say, coming off like you represent me somehow. Yet I would have never conceived of those words come from me.
The biggest complaint I have had/heard said to/about me, is that I tend to sacrifice my own position in reflex for any person in need. Life long friend, 5 minute friend. All the same to me.
Thank god/whomever, I don't have you in my corner. Because the thought reminds me of that little bit of puke that gets trapped in your mouth when your sick but because your out some place you can't spit out right away.

I'd tend to have to agree. I find that comment about it being a reflection of your inner senses such a cliched comment. I go out of my way to be polite and courteous to everyone, and more and more I see people that are just plain rude. |

We stands for Society in General. You may not fit into we in this instance....just like a lot of people don't fit into the generalized term. The majority of TAs that I have met would definately not fall into this general term of we but I see it on a daily basis that people don't stop and take the time to say hi or to help someone in need of help. |

I'm sorry that you see so much negativity, but I agree with Skipper...you get what you want out of life man.
Maybe if you made EVERY day "random acts of love" day, you wouldn't see such a decrease. |
