But we are not going to cry to the British about it. All submarines are prone to sinking, its a danger people have to live with. Especially when you are testing dangerous missiles or when there are foreign ships in the area.

Unfortunately for you, no submarines were lost in this North Pole mission ;-) too bad ... though there was a slight technical problem in the beginning of this mission when one 20-year-old ship needed a quick repair at sea due to a faulty initial engine repair work at the dock.

If you guys want to start a confrontation here and personal attacks, its not going to work. I am not an idiot. Stick to the topic.

Not last time a Russia sub sank and the Royal Navy sent their rescue vessel to help it, I think our Russian friend has a very short memory...

Maybe you should make a new thread about it. Oh well, happens. Not this time. Too bad for you, I feel very sorry that your British frigates didnt get another chance to take a peek at some more advanced Russian submarine technology ;-) oh, the subs you guys sold to Canada for outrageous prices and in rusty, messed up conditions not only has killed Canadian sailors, but are still stuck in the docks. Damn, we [Canadians] should've bought some CHEAPER and BETTER Russian submarines instead. Look at them go 4.5 km BELOW surface in deep frozen North Pole water. Thats pretty crappy technology submarines to me ;-)

And here's the response from the AWESOME advanced British forces who claim to have the best dam military in the world, and subs I guess:

The Canadian Forces bought the subs in 1998 for $750 million, but structural problems increased their cost to nearly $900 million.

Murphy said there were actually two fires in three locations ... the commanding officer's cabin, an electrical space below the cabin and at an oxygen generator in a different location.

Lieut. Chris Saunders, 32, died of smoke inhalation and eight other crewmen were injured in the electrical fire, which broke out shortly after the submarine left port in Faslane, Scotland.

Smiley, you started it ;-) you better watch out if you are trying to on someone else.

The original price for the subs was $1 billion. But since they needed $150 mil worth of work done the Canadians got a deal at $750 million. :toothless
