I haven't read the rest of the thread. It appears your GF has some unresolve issues with her previous Xers. It could be anger or hurt, or both she hasn't gotten over. I know if I was in your situation, I wouldn't take that kind of constant bombardment (LOL) of "stroking the bruised ego cuz I got dumped!" It would bad bad news to play that kind of mind game on me, especially when psychology is my hobby. I would see right through the veils. *LOL
I wouldn't stand it after a while, like Renegade said, you're not her therapist! It grinds you out. So you better be careful you don't end up flipping out on her cuz you just add more fireworks than necessary. You might as well be direct with her, ask her. If she doesn't give you a straight answer.... Well, you're just going have to be patient until you can't no more and cut your losses.
Keep it Real |

this is how it works for guys:
if they say they like you as just a friend, then that means they think you're fat and ugly and don't want to hurt your feelings by saying so because it's too much of hassle
if you just hang out and you don't classify it as anything, then that means he wants to bop you but is afraid of embarassing himself so he keeps it at a buddy buddy level hoping that it will eventually escalate without any awkwardness.
then there's buddies. |
hmm.. way to describe realtity bro.. |

You know what I think the problem is. I know this might sound weird to some, but from what I've seen over the years a lot of women like to be treated like . The worst you treat them, the more they are all over you. I'll give you an example. This girl "FRIEND" I know she had a boyfriend that treated her like a queen, anything she would ask, he would do for her. Guess what she breakes up with him for ano appearant reason. Starts going out with the next guy, that totally treats her like . Level of ness is that if I ever found out where he lives, I would propably put him in the wheel chair. :whip:. And she has been with him for like 3 years now. She is a really hot chick. I mean she can do way better than that. Now tell me if that isn't just pure stupidity!! |
I couldn't agree more, thing is I'd rather have a balance of both, the nice guy part, but also the "edge" that the has in terms of attitude etc. Kind've annoying being a nice guy CONSTANTLY. That's what I'm trying to do but I dun think it'll work, it's just not me to do that...oh well. |

See there is a little problem here. I am kind of a shy guy. Well at least at first I am. Once I get to know some somebody, I can just yap on for hours at a time. It is usually pretty hard to strike a conversation with a girl that is shy too. I wasn't really a popular kid in high school. I didn't really hand around with "COOL" crowd. I guess I am just doomed with dealing with bitches all the time. Thanks a lot for you advice |
sorry, you're right, my advice was aimed a bit at more outgoing ppl
i dont know what a shy person can do. i am very shy myself and i usually dont approach ppl i dont know unles i really have to. even the ppl that i know but never really associate with.
all my life i tried to look for ways to overcome my shyness but was never succesful. so if anyone out there has a remedy, please share. |

| I think I have the best solution for shyness. It might work for some of you, I know it works for me. Have a couple of drinks But don't drink beer, drink hard stuff, but not too much. Works for me most of the time. Usually about 6 does the trick for me, just to get the talking buzz.:D |

When I was younger (15-16 yrs old) I thought that my shyness would go away with age.
Now I'm 21 and still very shy when meeting new girls, because I expect them to be more "experienced" and "mature" than me (unless they're much younger than me). |

yeah i know that, but the problem is that i usually cannot stop myself from drinking more after the 6th.. and my attention span does RADICALLY decrease after a certain amount too, PLUS, the whole slurring part is not really cool :D |

I know what you mean about the stopping yourself from drinking. Most of the time when I start, I don't stop until I pass out :D . I do slurring thing too, sometimes people can't even understand what I am saying. On top of that when I'm really loaded I tend to spit when I speak. That can piss some people off sometimes :toothless |

Hey, Trance-Sista', help is on its way! :)
Here's the way I deal with my shyness. It works for me - so, it will work for anybody ;) :p
You see, all the time I faced (and still face) stupid situations (or is it me who makes them stipid? :D ), as a result of which i used to blush, get embaressed and felt frustrated really awesome. I couldn't even ask a shop assistant where I can find product i was looking for or to tell a bus driver to stop where i needed. Well, I wasn't all that shy, but sometimes it really put me down.
But, gradually I realyzed that selfconfidence (as opposing to shyness) won't appear from nothing. You need to train constantly, when you face embaressing circumstances. In a time some kind of confidence reflex will be developed. Just imagine (for guys): you're in a new company, that mostly consists of hot girls. You feel yourself quite uncomfortable. And your friend, to whom you just whispered what you want to do with the most beautiful girl, loudly says that while laughing. You pale, then blush, sweat or feel cold and that girl laughs louder that anybody else :whip:  . Get it? (for girls it's vice versa)
All your fears is just a disease, which you need to overcome to develop immunity. But, this immunity, despite natural one, require constant support and backing. And, once you'll develop it, it will block this crappy feeling of embarassment and will give you neccesary self-confidence, you always wanted. :)
So, train yourself everyway you can!
For example, always buy condoms at a drug store, not in those vending-machines (?). At a begining it's quite frustrating, 'cose everyone starts gigling and stuff :toothless
Hope it will help you, just as much as it helped me :)

Another good trick, but you can't be all the time boozed :D |

Yeah, I used to be shy too a while back.. One day it just went away or I just kept getting more outgoing. I never used to flurt that much a couple of years ago. Now, my mouth is like a pimping little uzi. LOL Soemtimes, it gets me in real trouble..
I study handwriting, my own mostly. I recognize the characteristics that make a person more outgoing than an introverted-reserved type. It's a fun way to learn about oneself. The usual attributes are:
1. The spacing between words: the wider it is the more introverted, the tighter spacing means extraversion.
2. The spacing between letters: The wider = extravesrion, self-expression, very out-going. The tighter spacing = the opposite.
3. Letter widths: The taller the letter, the morre self-contained, self-reserved the person. The wider the letter, the more impulsive, spontaneous, fun-loving, and impatient person.
4. The slant of the handwriting: The more right-slanted enhances all extraversion attributes to extremities. The straight and left-slanted writers show the opposite extremities of introversion.
5. Baseline slant of the sentence: Rising baselines = euphoria, enthusiasm, optimism. Dropping baselines = pessimism, cynicism, depression. Dead straight baselines = balance emotionally.
Have fun. :) |
