well then you're unlike most of the girls i hang out with....but then again most of the girls i hang out with and actually have real friendships with do not talk about that kind of stuff anyway, so maybe its just my crowd of people

edit: but still my point is this...think about it, if a girl doesn't want to give head (for whatever reason) do you REALLY think she would do what tranceaddict991 claims?

yes, but did you know that the average American lost his or her virginity at age 16 ??

So when you say "kid", you have to be careful.
It turns out that a 15-16-yr-old person isn't really a "kid" anymore, even though everyone (including the parents) tries to hide anything sex-related from them, or not to expose them to nudity.

Give me a break, some of these 15-16-year-old teens have even had more experience than some adults! I am serious!

Just as a side-note: How can our government and our society be so naive, and try to run away from reality and censor what they think is "unsuitable for children," when the official statistic is that the average age of losing virginity in this country is 16 -- earlier than in any other country? And yet we're more conservative and hypocritical when it comes to sex than any other country, for example we never show any nudity on TV, whereas for example in Europe they do! Isn't this ironic?

My conclusion: don't treat a 15-year-old like a "kid," chances are he's got more experience in sex than you! Just a reality check. The fact that 16 is the average for first sexual experience means that there are as many 18-year-olds losing their virgnity as there are 14-year-olds. Think about this for a moment. And for every 20-year-old losing his virginity, there is a ... right... 12-year-old.

And these are true facts.

You have a point.......where has society gone.

on the contrary, it has always been this way.
50 or 100 or 200 years ago, the average age was approximately the same, surprising as it may seem.

This is 100% true.

The only thing that has changed, is the fact that the first sexual experience nowadays does not normally occur within the parameters of marriage. But that's the only change -- the average age has always been about the same.

sexual experience to me does not constitute maturity nor acting of age in any way whatsoever. perhaps it does mean they have opened up a huge can of worms for themselves per say, and perhaps they will have to deal with a lot of related to sex that i didn't when i was 15, but in no means does that make me think they are not still a kid. 15 is young. thats why i say that.

and i certainly dont attribute having sex that young as a good thing.

Age has'nt changed in 100 yrs........whoa...interesting fact.....i believe you.
PatMcGroin
yes but i still consider them "kids"
they have no idea what they are doing and they are letting their need for sex overtake their mind...and thats when goes bad....its horrible seeing a kid who's in need for sex running around, they get angry, they'll do whatever....why do you think there is also an increase in rape? these "kids" will become so addicted to sex that it will turn them wrong....

its hard, its really hard, but i have will power and i'm managing....i'm 19 and i'm still a virgin, i've had plenty of girlfriends and my current one is 20, also a virgin, and we have to stop ourselves from having sex each time....we know what we're doing, but 16 year olds don't and thats why they are imature, hence why i can still call them "kids"

sexual experience does NOT make you more mature, just because you have sex does not mean you're no longer a kid, it just means you are no longer innocent....maturity is a state of mind

hell! go see the movie "Kids".....ed up movie

oh, allow me to clarify.. i can see where my post might have been misconstrued. when i said i dont believe him because hes still a kid, i didnt mean that in terms of "i dont think he has had these experiences because of his age".. i see it as "i think hes bsing to sound cool and/or brag, especially since this thread isnt even about sex and he said it so randomly.. because of his age"

Nope, I disagree with you.
It seems there is a stigma attached to teenage sex, the fact that it's "bad" in some way, or that it's too early for teens to have sex.

I actually happen to think that children are just like adults, in all respects. They're equally sexual, for example; also, they too can be capable of true feelings of love. Therefore, I see absolutely nothing wrong with having sex at 15. It's a choice that a person makes, and you have to respect that choice -- even though it may seem, at first, that the person is too young.

Look: sexual experience does, in many ways, imply maturity. Suppose, for instance, that a certain boy was extremely shy around girls, couldn't talk to them in school, was very uptight and nervous, then he found a girlfriend and had sex with her; wouldn't you think that this would make his personality (when it comes to social life) a little more open, less shy, and more confident, especially around girls?

I'm being a little blunt here, but I'm also being honest. If your social outlook and your self-confidence have undergone certain positive changes after your first sexual experience in your teenage years, then this experience did increase your maturity...

By the way, anybody here care to discuss whether or not they became more mature and socially adaptive / less shy, as a result of their first sexual experience?
