mine would be something between trance and eurodance.... its gotta have a hard bass thats constant, with soft breaks inbetween. Vocals is a must, but they cant be way girlie...i dunno i have the sound in my head, just hard to express in words

something between trance, progressive and psy maybe? i would use the standard gear and keep out the ugly kick and efex from psy, the cheese from trance and the boredom of progressive, like make it REALY progressive, pumping endless tracks without any big breaks, but maybe with a more advanced rhytm section?

Sounds good.

Folk or Ballad-Trance. Basically someone who sings with acoustic parts and electronic parts, very melodic and harmonic singing. Sort of like "Firewater" by BT but more vocals than that track. Kind of like some of the tracks on his "This Binary Universe" but faster, more like trance (progressive trance) and vocals that actually tell a story or convey a thoughtful message. Now it wouldn't be the really folky sounding stuff, just melodic and deep EDM with more thoughtful vocals than what most already have. I'de say it would be 125 - 130 bpm.

Guitar breakdowns where the story is conveyed, and then the chorus comes when the beat comes in. A little bit like "Yet Another Day" by Armin van Buuren or "Identify" by Peter McCowan. I could see them getting in on the sound, and other producers like perhaps Chicane (he already has been taken over with vocals, but I think "Autumn Tactics" was close to what I am talking about). Could also see Probspot, Leama & Moore, Solar Stone, Markus Schulz even....joining in on the sound.

Progressive guitar, beats elevate from 124 BPM to 128, vocals must of the Pavarotti like, ocassional harp samples of Metallica songs would be automatic, lastly to tie it all in, "tambores" from Venezuela...

and w00t?

something 16 bit sounding....oh i wish

s3nate
Some genre of trance that is impossible to mix because the bpm keeps changing slightly, just to piss off djs.
