p.s. - I can't talk about Kytracid's dance skills.... he pwned the mawfaw.

Hehe, it's a good thing you've turned your focus on becoming a DJ then, your water spilling dumbass coulda killed someone out there if you still lived upto your name as floorwhore. :)

Also, a little moisture is what accumulates on your ass crack on a hot summer day. Be honest now - you've rocked the Zone, Guv, Sonic, Boa...don't tell me it's a little. There used to be spots that were greasy as out there, and when you're feeling a groove and bouncing around all it takes is one wrong footing to go up. Not to mention it's dark, you're pilling (or drunk, or tired), you're confined to a smaller space so even when you do fall it's often awkwardly.

In any case, you're right in one way -- if you don't like it, you should just move the out the way, which I feel is what quite a few clubbers who are really into dancing have done. Over the years I see more dancers in studio like clubs where the dance floor is treated with more respect then I do at the big clubs where people just abuse the out of the surface and make it treacherous.

PS. Thanks for putting in print, your malicious intentions regarding other clubbers. *IF* someday you do make it big, I'll be sure to include part of your post in my signature. Jeff Button - "superstar DJ once a ex clubber and floorwhore, deliberately spilt water on the floor so that ass s like me, and hundreds like me would fall and injure ourselves severely. You call him God -- We call him a grade A-(C)unt!" :)

Do you really feel in danger of falling while you're walking over a bit of water as you're making your way slowly through a rammed club? (because if it wasn't rammed, I'm guessing you'd just walk around that treacherous water spill)

Ok, here goes. I honestly don't go to clubs like Guv anymore, because it's hard to find a spot where you can cut loose without being afraid of doing a face plant. I'd rather go to El'Mocambo where people respect the floor.

When I did frequent places like the Zone and Guv which have always ranked as the most dangerous places to go crazy I've either staked out my claim to a dry spot and stayed there, or I've held back from going full out because I know it increases the risk of injury. I approach dancing like I do sports. I won't play ball on a slippery court, so I don't dance on one either.

My girl slipped while just walking on a spot in the Guv 5-6 months ago...it was rammed, and she was being surged forward when her foot gave away in one of these wetspots. She sprained her wrist and quite frankly that was probably because she was lucky. I've seen a guy go up and almost smash his nut on the floor. He might have been high, or drunk, but how does that excuse people from knowingly contributing to a dangerous situation.

I ask you this -- can you imagine any other situation where you'd pour water on the floor, and not cordon the area off, or put up a sign warning people. No, you wouldn't. People in a club are often not alert to the dangers around them. The last thing they expect is a slippery surface, what with people pressed up against them, the heat, the music, the whistles (!). I just feel it makes common sense not to add to all those things. But then, that's just me. People are going to do what they want...whether it's blare on those whistles, or go wild with their air horns, or spill water to help them dance.

Seeing as this is a thread where people were ranting about what they hate, I figured I'd do so as well. Perhaps it's my own ego, but I feel some things you can overlook, others -- well, lets just say you realize how silly they are when someone you know or love gets hurt.

Seriously...in fact, form a company, print out a few dozen and sell them outside of the club. Get Jeff to help, he's another one of those proud waterspillers. You guys would make a fortune, not to mention keep the rest of us safe.

holy . You had to choose El'Mocambo! That venue is ing garbage. I've been there once and i'll never set foot again. It was so hot in there, I'm surprised no one passed out from heat exhaustion and their stairs need to be repaired.

Guvernment

Ok, the last time I went to a multi room party was GUV 9 until I went to Scot Project last weekend.

Total meat market. . I've never been hit on in so many different CREEPY ways.

I agree, there's no space to dance - you're either being hit on or being pushed out the way.

I hate people with whistles.

nightmare:
lost in space
my head almost exploded from hearing so many ing whistles.

Downstairs is better. This summer during the funky break parties they open the doors onto the street, they have a wooden floor which is ideal to dance on. The place is hardly ever rammed. It's got good sound, great dancers, the girls are hot...the ratio was actually 60/40 both nites I went, and the sketch factor was almost nil. It was like the old system vibe back in 01, when you'd go to a jam and feel like it was a family affair and not a bunch of n00bs there just cause they've heard "electro music is like so in man".

I been upstairs once, and the space is smaller and they usually spin hiphop there. I think that's what you are refering to. Besides, the heat is something you just have to get used to. The space itself though is good. It doubles as a dance studio during the week, and attracts quite a few people who are there just to dance, and not do drugs and the usual mess you get with most other clubs. I've been there a few times this summer, and I've never even seen people take their drinks onto the floor. Which I love. Restrict that to the bar, or the tables situated on the periphery and everyone can have a good time.

When did you last go there ?

bastard guys, you gonna end up killing my DOG ! :toothless <--- that's me, after I've been to a few TOTA dance sessions aka Slip n Slides.

I've always known there's more then just a few of you out there who do this. I'd put it as something 30% of people do. Still don't get it though.

Here's me, hopin y'all catch bird flu and croak before you spill another drink on the floor. ZING - HOW U LIKE ME NOW ??!!! :tongue2

(I wish staying in bed were safe...I've got nail marks running down my back which prove otherwise) ;)

Was it really that dark ? Wow...seems like a totally different venue to what I experienced when Big League Chu spun there a month or so ago.
