It takes away from the experience when ABUSED no matter if I move away from the person. This is mostly because whistling can be heard above the music and is basically something that REALLY stands out and takes aaway from the experience of hearing the music and the crowd etc. Those are things that are a positive part of a night... |

If peeps feel like they have something they need to get out, sure, whatever. Couple blasts, fine. In no way is it ok to be part of the show for anything as long as in terms of minutes.
Besides, depending on where the DJ is in his/her set. I think a lot of the time whistling isn't directed towards the music but at the DJ. I could see somebody out there, totally feeling it and is thinking the the DJ is maybe getting ready to peel off soon. Wants to coax him into a few more.
Then there are those ******s you get from time to time still, that decide to bring the full on Fox40 Life Guard Edition 460Db Emergency Alerting Device thinking they can turn it into some sorta freaked out Salsa internment camp.:disbelief |

jay i respect everything you write on here but your obvious bias and cynicism detracts whole-heartedly from your arguments at times. as if that statement is even relevant. you can't write loaded statements and expect us to overlook, but then wonder why we don't take you seriously when you have a legitimate point to make. stop crying wolf. its boring. |

lol Jay, will all my respect, but you are barking from an absolutely wrong tree
for most of us, at turns out, whistles deprive us from enjoying the music and the night to the max
private space or no private space, there's no way of escaping it, unless it's a big event and you can go to a dif room
and it has absolutely nothing to do with Toronto clubbing scene specifically, lol I love how you try to put it all in one pile |

there was a group of people at the docks awhile back when simon jain was spinning that would not stop whistling for a good hour or so. it completely ruined the vibe for myself and many others. i'm guilty of the odd whistle here and there, but like others have said, once or twice is fine. anything past that is simply annoying to many people around you.
as for people spilling water on the floor, i have no issues with that. it is no more dangerous then the sweat rain that falls from the guv ceiling at 5am or so. |
