What a great Day at the Docks!!! Got there with Knox fairly early to catch Jeff's set, who played a solid warm up set and got who was there moving. Creamers set was good he played a lot of good tracks got a little meh near the end imo but over all I enjoyed it :toothless Great seeing all my favorite Toronto and Hamilton peeps and it was nice to meet a few new people ... I'm super tired today as the 401 was down to one lane last night on the way home and I didn't get home till around 1 and I had to be up at 6 am for work this morning but it was well worth it. Overall I <3 Sunset Sessions! :toothless

John Creamer. What he did was one of the most disrespectful, insulting things any DJ could have ever done. I counted him leave the decks at LEAST 5 times (and he definitely left more times than that) to go for a smoke break, pour drinks, or do whatever the else he was doing.

I'm more surprised that all the promoters and ...the people who hired him, just stood there behind him and let him do it.

I guess I'm a ing Nazi, beause if I hired him, you best believe I'd have been there cracking the bitch whip and making him earn the money I paid him.

That was unbelievable. The best though, was some chick turning to me and saying, "OMG I LOVE HIM!!" I pointed at the empty decks and said, "Who? Nobody's even playing right now." ing moron.

I had a good time though, lol.

That's kind of what to expect from John though, Jenny. It was the same last time at Sonic, so really no surprises. He definitely enjoys the booth party aspect while spinning - some dj's (like Satoshi for example) doesn't like anyone in it at all times.

John even had to borrow my headphones - haha.... I was in stitches when he asked me.

Regardless, I had a blast. Really enjoyed opening this party, and the antics that followed were random to say the least. FYI - in the last 45 minutes of Creamers set (which was my most enjoyable) were all his own productions.

Well him then. That doesn't make it ok to me. Unacceptable.

I am alive!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I had tons of fun, but I can't believe Creamer didn't even play live (or did he?), since I have an exact mix of this set from a boat cruise from NYC. It was identical, but the end of the night was amazing!

Overall, fun times. John Creamer played what I was there to hear, and it was pretty damn good stuff. First time hearing full on tribal like that live. However, as jennypie mentioned, it was pretty BS that he kept leaving the booth. plus his crowd interaction wasn't very up there either.

The venue was also very nice. Amazing view of the Toronto skyline.
I was going to mention how it would have been nice if there were glass behind the DJ booth as well, but according to Mr. Button, there was until the fire. They should bring that back, would be nice to have an unobstructed view of the skyline from inside.

Although the venue was nice, the sound wasn't very good imo. Way too much bass - you could barely hear the higher frequencies, and tribal percussion.

I wasn't a big fan of the crowd at all either; aside from the few TA's I met and ran into. Not my type of people, it took away from the fun for me.

Music - 8/10
Venue - 9/10
Sound - 4/10
Crowd - 3/10
