And it has indeed already been cracked - and actually may have been even prior to its release :wtf:
I saw it run for the first time today on a coworkers PC - looked gorgeous, can't wait to get my hands on a copy, though that's not going to happen for at least a month or more. |

Yes I am a total noob so help me out here whats the best tool to overclock? I'm assuming its some 3rd party software? Surely you can't overclock with the Nvidia software? |

You should upgrade but looks like you would need a new motherboard that uses PCI Express...AGP just doesn't cut it but you could probably get an ATI X600 512mb card for like $249 - $299 that will probably allow you to play it at playable frame-rates. I'm going to get a GeForce 8800 GTX in my new system (decided against XBox cause all of the games I play..are better on a PC than Xbox, graphics wise and I prefer the mouse-keyboard setup). |

| Demo was good but since it has DRM I will wait for a DRM free version. Runs smoothly on my E6300 @ 2.8, 2GB Ram, 7900GS @ 1680x1050, Audigy2. First Splicer was sort of scary |

Yes you can...Download the latest drivers for your card. There should be a "clock frequencies" area on the Nvidia control panel. Click on performance settings and look around for it. Choose manual overclocking...adjust the sliders up and test every 3-4mhz. If you go to high, the card will fail the test...just back it down until you reach the maximum speed for the GPU and memory and hit apply...then you're done!
I recommend you blow out of your card and case with compressed air also, because overclocking can generate extra heat. You want the best airflow possible to keep everything cool..and dust really clogs things up. |
