If game performance increase is what you're after, you're far better off upgrading your video card. |

Just broke - we just moved into a new house, so all of my expendable income has been spent on that.

| hehe, i understand. there's no need to play a game the instant it comes out. in a few months it will be cheaper, with fewer bugs! just make sure that you eventually play it, one of the rare titles that really deserves the hype :) |

Best £25 i've ever spent :D
I've been playing it for about an hour now and it rocks. It's just as good as HL2 and FEAR (my 2 fav pc games) in my books, although very different. So much you can pick up from everywhere and the ability to zap people, set them on fire, etc is something new and fun.
The graphics are superb as well, i was surprised with what the game had set my default graphics options to - everything was turned on and all sliders set to high @ 1024 x 768 res and it runs super smooth. Love it! |

| For those who play it, I highly recommend you listen to all the audio "diaries" you pick up throughout the game. They really add to the story, especially near the end. |
