Jokes are never, ever funny if you have to eventually explain that they are merely jokes or, even worse, the actual meaning or context behind a joke. If somebody takes the time to pick apart your joke, they a) do not like you much and are merely trying to get on your nerves, b) seriously do not understand because they are humourless s, or c) your joke was a complete and utter failure and you have nobody to blame but yourself.

On the basis you've had a bit of time to reflect on why objectification isn't always a good thing, especially when it's applied to you, maybe you'll do it less often to other people. Respect need not be something that's earned but simply a part of life being treated as you'd like to be respected. |
