Seafood curry cocktail
Get a dozen or so crayfish, large prawns or a lobster and put them into a pot of boiling water.
Half a lemon cut into thin wedges thrown in there with a tablespoon of salt.
Boil for 5minutes, leave them to sit for 30 and then put them under cold running water.
In the meantime, get together
1 teaspoon of curry powder
1 teaspoon of paprika
1 teaspoon of ground ginger
1 cup of celery finely chopped
1/2 cup of mayonaise
1/2 teaspoon djion mustard
1/2 cup of honeydew melon finely chopped
Mix up the above in a bowl until it's all combined thoroughly, peel your crayfish and if they're prawns you can leave them whole or halved, bigger critters you'll need to chop up to size.
Gently combine them with the sauce mix and throw them down on a bed of lettuce in a bowl or glass.
I fed that one to Laz and his kids and they didn't die, it's pretty mild, but got a lot of different flavours in it :)
(its more of a south african variant than a traditional indian dish) |
That sounds awesome! :eyes: |

Best bread ever |
Needs a special oven type thing to cook them properly.
I've really gone off Indian food lately, it's all a bit meh.
It's all about Japanese and Cantonese now, yum! |

U know why indian food is the best in the world?
all the best spices are grown there. Seriously, the food is soooo full of flavour.:D
My fav indian dish has to be the dam briyani. Its yellow rice cooked with lumps of whole chicken/mutton mixed with curry and dhal.
Best briyani I had was surprisingly in Singapore.:eyespop: |

| I'm not a fan tbh, simply because my damn intestinal tracts can't handle the basic of spices, and I'm not a fan of products like yoghurt/dressings which seem to go with a lot of things. I can get away with little bits of sage, rosemary, ginger and thyme, but anything else would leave me sleeping on the bathroom floor :( |

For the three amazing years this girl has been in my life, I have been introduced to whole new flavours I was previously not exposed to. I learned how to cook a lot from her, and I always make Tandoori chicken on the BBQ for friends, and it's always a hit for those who haven't had Indian before.

yes, or delicately done. I make use of salt & pepper, sage, mint, thyme, rosemary and that's about it. We have such a quality of food in the UK though, fresh produce-wise that we don't need to throw allsorts of stuff into our animals to make them taste great :) |
