since people have been msging me about it, a few more things...
cab rides from ibizatown to the far end of san antonio are about 20 euro each way, which is the cost of our rental car for a day. we had to take on this expense once when our car was towed in ibizatown. a tow will run you $165 euro iirc.
speeding is a casual thing on the freeways, here's our cabbie tripling the speed limit for no reason. the tunnel speed limit is 60, he's doing 180...

petrol was 1.09/li which is around $4/gal, however with our econobucket, i don't think we put in more $20 the whole trip, and that's driving all over the island almost every day. there are also party buses that shuttle people from san antonio to amnesia, all you have to do is spend money at the bar who hosts it. at kanya, that meant buying a 3 euro bottle of water. the bus ride back to san an was via public transit and costs 2 euro each way.
club tickets vary, full price ranging from 20-60 euro depending on the party. most tickets can be bought at discount or like 15 euro off at the door with a flyer and most over 40 euro come with a free drink (15 euro value). some parties are completely free with a free drink upon entry if you run into one of the prs handing out wristbands during the day. we got meganite/mauro picotto wristbands for free at bora bora.
alky at the club is 10-15 euro, water is 10 euro, you cannot drink the island tap, it's slightly salty and will make you sick. water at the minimarts is 80 cents a liter. alky at the minimarts is cheap as dirt... 1.35 euro for a 40oz, 12.50 euro for a liter of vodka with 8 redbulls. |

Rich, the pic of the vodka-red bull party packs almost made me die laughing. Great pics overall, and some great tips. I'mingthis thread to my facebook. I was going to say, with the weak dollar, you must have spent a ton, but seems like it wasn't so bad.
I'm there for my 3rd visit in 2008, 100% confirmed!
I was thinking 5 days, but now I want to go more!!! |

thanks for the compliments guys. for all the tas going next year, you should wait until next spring or so to book at the same time for roughly the same dates. we can invade the airplane together and represent the real america on the island... you'd be surprised to learned just how distorted our perception is over there, partly because 99.99% of americans have never heard of ibiza and 99.9999% of ibiza is non-americans :o
we met a group of scots one night on the westend who were like "america...  " and by the next night they were singing "america! america! "
all we had to do was tell them our thoughts on bush... :stongue: |

hah, what's funny about ibiza is all the city/town names that mirror cali's... san jose, san rafael, san mateo, san lorenzo, san miguel, la jolla, even a san francisco on her sister island of formentera :thepirate |

Sweeeeetttt Pics Rich and thanks also for the tips too. I gotta save this thread just in case I ever get a chance to go out there.
It looks like a bomb ass trip. I have a couple more bachelor parties in the next year. Maybe I should suggest Ibiza. We were thinking Amsterdam too. Hmmmmm....

How about both?!
Ibiza is more party party... every minute of the day is a CRACKIN party. Amsterdam is kinda geared more toward relaxing... like ride a bike and 'chill' at a cafe. :D I really really want to return for a few days next summer though, I love that city. |
